Any suggestions for me to get my right and left sides even? My mother once told me that it was because of scoliosis that I had as a child. There is a big difference between my right and left sides most notable in my lats and my arms.

have you been training them, equally.

I.e. if the left gives out quick training with the right.

I believe 1 sided movements (such as 1 arms dumbbell rows), while effective, can sometimse be hard to match the same intensity that you did for each side. Sure you may have done the same reps, but was the concentrations there, did the follow the same exact angle upwards ect... Personally I stay away from them simply because I can't always get the same kind of concentration from one side to the next. This isn't true for everyone, but for me it is.

Stick with movements that work both sides at the same time, and dumbbell choose over barbell where possible since you can influence ones sides actions with the other with the bar slightly. When the weaker sides gives quit the set.

for the most part..... its impossible

look closely at pictures of the past from Arnold up to Ronnie....... closer

no two sides of the body are exactly the same size and shape.

but i am right handed........ so i swapped to doing everything with my left hand........brushing my teeth, combing my hair.... dialing on the phone and calculator, and eating and writting.........i have now narrowed the gap between the two.......its less than a quater of an inch

for lats......... stretch the smaller side inbetween sets........... grab a some vertical pole about waist high......... drop your hips back and try to pull the bar with the lat only.......... it works

good luck

I measured my arms and there is an inch difference between them and the lats well ugh... it just looks funny. I'll try those tips and let ya know how it goes. I'd post a pic to show you but I have only been lifting less than a year, and i am still pretty fat on top of it all.
