Supersets - Are they part of your routine ?

How important are they in relation to hypertrophy ?

What are the best excercises to superset ?

I use them in most of my training routines apart from when i switch to 5 x 5 .

This is what i am doing at the moment...

DB press - incline DB row
weighted dips - BB curls
chins or pull ups - Military press

Opinions ?
 
I occasionally superset for increased fitness, not strength or mass.

^ This plus get ya in and out of the gym quicker.

I usually superset leg ext and leg curls after leg presses. Other wise the only thing I superset is bi's and tri's, and sometime back ext and abs.
 
I never superset. I have horrible muscle endurance so after a set even if its a light weight set ill still be pumped. Might be on all the AAS im on right now too lol

I'm sure that's probably the reason...I couldn't run down the block w/o major pump pain in my legs on aas..

I always get bad hand pumps too when playin the guitar, or low back pumps from walking around running dishes in my restaurant, or forearm pumps when doin dishes...fuck!!

lolz yeah it's crazy all the things you notice get pumped on aas. even writing with a pencil, I had to put it down for a sec and let the pump leave my forearm before continuing writing lmao
 
I use supersets every 3 weeks as part of my POWER, REP RANGE, SHOCK training protocol. While they should not be used EXCLUSIVELY for hypertrophy, they ARE valuable to include every few workouts.
 
In my own experiences, a 3 month period of supersets on bis and tris made my arms grow significantly faster over a 3 month period of 1-2minutes of rest between exercises. Try it out and see if it works for you.
