Sugar is my weakness. I love the granular feel of it when I chew, and I love the sweet taste on my food. I've discovered recently why I love Pizza Hut breadsticks: Its because their marinara sauce has sugar in it. I ordered some last week and the sauce was bitter, so I added a pinch of sugar and it was back to its yummy self.
I know Atkins recommends a healthy sugar substitute and I have spenda on hand, but nothing tastes as good as the real thing, so I'm more opt to skip the sugar all together instead of substituting it. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
With the holidays coming, cheesecake is going to be on the menu..good thing with this one is any sugar substitute can be used and it tastes just as great, and will be a low carb, low sugar item if done right. I'm going to modify my recipes so I'll post back later.
