Subway!

for a cheat meal it's fine. however subway is horrible if youre looking for nutritional value. the bread is loaded with sugar and digests rapidly and the meat is loaded with fillers and its heavily processed. it will not digest well.

I like a footlong subway club or chicken breast and a bag of baked lays as part of a re-feed meal...

Or a footlong meatball, footlong chicken parm, a bag of cheetos, and a snickers bar for a cheat meal.

Otherwise I stay away... if it's not part of a low fat re-feed or a dirty cheat meal.

id have to disagree and say that there good

if your on the run its fine and provide all the macros you need for one meal

IF you choose right

its junk food. everything on their menue is loaded with fillers. its no different than lunch meats or those bagged frozen flavored chicken varieties. nothing harmful in eating it once in a while but not to often.

I respectfully disagree ! :D

lets disguss this if you dont mind. here is what i have. i know that companies take the small undesired chickens and pump them up with fillers and preservatives to sell in bulk. a lot of chain companies like kfc buy this crap. it looks normal, its still on the bone, and it tastes pretty normal, but it has fillers and preservatives in it.

i also looked under the febuary 2010 revised complete subway menue listed on their site and see that every chicken offered has soybeans as an ingredient. i think they all also have hidrolyzed whey.
this tells me that it is processed just like the others.

what am i missing?

Your Not Missing aything your technically right

I guess I am saying its the Best Choice for a One meal less then Ideal Fix if you have to on the Run.

Me And PhoenixS had Subway the last 2 week or Her Cut almost EVERYDAY post workout ( where I felt Sodium is needed)

Forget the back, lets see the front :D

Usually when I goto subway I skip the bread and go right for a chicken salad. Although the last few times I've been there, their flat bread melt looks pretty good.

correct me if I'm wrong (seriously) but I think according to subways nutrition facts the flatbread might be one of the least healthy bread choices provided. It would make sense, since it seems like one of the best tasting choices.

How did I miss this thread... I aske the question bout there chicken 2 days after this thread was made....

Sure is hard to eat clean on the go...

you can pick up a brochure at subway that lists all the nutrition facts. The tuna sub is one of the worst because of how they make it. Your best bets are roasted chicken, chicken teryaki, turkey, on wheat. According to their facts, I seem to recall the pepper jack cheese being the lowest in calories. The calorie count sky rockets with adding any sort of mayo/dressing

I get the chopped chicken breast, turkey breast, cucumbers, spinach leaves, pickles, american cheese, mozz cheese, sweet onion sauce all on a toasted footlong italian herb and cheese bread :) yummmm... I figure this is a good meal when on the run and beats the hell out of mickey ds and burger king...
