Here's what everybody is overlooking. Stuttering John is going to have a panic attack right in the ring. He has them over taking a shit. Cabbie is going to hurt John bad. The headgear may not save his sorry ass.

Cabbie's got a swelled head over beating angry black. He thinks he's a badass now. I'm going with SJ.

stuttering john better win... all that shit he talks daily...

plus, it seems like cabbie is arrogant... i'll go with john.

LMAO!!When and where is this charade going to be viewable?

it'll probably be on this week on the E! channel.

But it was hilarious what cabby said. and of course he was yelling the whole time and his voice was all hoarse. He also said that he'd force john to give him oral. What a freak.

Damn,it sounds like he has some sort of crush on SJ,lol...I bet Howard was rolling with those quotes,he loves that kind of shit.

everyone in the studio was dying!!

unless they're good actors, they really hate each other. at the "press conference" they had to be seperated and cabby was asked to leave besause there was nearly a brawl in the studio. it was great radio.

Atlantic City has seen its share of great fights. Duran vs. Camacho. Tyson vs. Spinks. Holyfield vs. Foreman. But Atlantic City has never, ever seen a fight as strange as the one that will come to town Friday, May 31 - "The Brawl at the Taj Mahal," where "The Howard Stern Show" regulars
"Stuttering" John Melendez and Crazy Cabbie will square off.

Atlantic City may have also never seen a fight between two people that hate each other as much as Melendez and Cabbie, meaning it may be the most passionate fight you'll ever witness.

"I am going to punch your eyes out and use them as dice," Cabbie told Melendez earlier this week on the show, a few days after Cabbie jumped over a table to attack Melendez during Stern's broadcast.

"I am going to kick his ass," Melendez says. "I have never developed such distaste for someone before in my life. It's personal."

The sold-out fight, also titled "The Flunky vs. the Junkie," will be broadcast live during Stern's morning radio broadcast, which begins at 6 a.m. and can be heard on WJSE 102.7-FM.

It is the first time Stern has broadcast his show live anywhere in New Jersey, and celebrities, Schedule of Events

WHEN/WHERE: Friday, May 31 at Trump Taj Mahal

3 a.m.: WJSE 102.7-FM preshow broadcast

6 a.m.: "The Howard Stern Show" begins in the Mark G. Etess Arena at the Trump Taj Mahal. The show is sold out, but listen to WJSE or look in AT The Shore to win tickets

8:30 a.m.: Expected start time for the fight

11 a.m.: Show ends

Noon, 2, 5 and 6 p.m.: WJSE drawings for $10,000 in prizes and $10,000 in cash in Taj lobby.
8 p.m.: "Stuttering John Black and Blue Comedy Show," Xanadu, Trump Taj Mahal. Tickets $25.

including host Donald Trump as well as "Wack Pack" members Beetlejuice, Gary The Retard and others are expected to attend. There is also preliminary word that a major band will perform during the show, which will be held in the 5,000-seat Mark J. Etess Arena.

A quick glance at the fighters' tale of the tape would definitely favor Cabbie, an ex-military paratrooper who was allegedly kicked out of the service and later suffered a drug problem, including the use of crack, according to what Cabbie has admitted on the Stern show. The 6-foot-2 Cabbie is expected to enter the ring at approximately 260 pounds, which is about 80 pounds less than six months ago, when he began training and started to use the diet supplement TrimSpa.

The 5-foot-8 Melendez, on the other hand, will enter the ring at about 175 pounds. But Melendez says the size difference shouldn't matter come May 31.

"People don't understand that I've been working my ass off for this fight," says Melendez, who like Cabbie will receive $100,000 for the bout. "I stopped drinking. I stopped smoking. I lost about 20 pounds, and gained a lot of muscle mass. I'm eating healthy, and this is the best shape I've ever been in.

"Cabbie keeps trying to get me to bet my $100,000 in the fight, but I'm not going to do that. I think I'll win the fight, but I have to be smart about this. I'm not going to go through four months of training and risk getting my head beaten in and walk out with nothing. It's easy for him to make a challenge like that. I would do the same thing if I was fighting a guy who was 100 pounds lighter and six inches smaller."

The Melendez and Cabbie feud began when "Wack Packer" Melrose Larry Green told Melendez that Cabbie was bad-mouthing Stern when Cabbie was working for a radio station in Minnesota. (Cabbie now hosts an afternoon rock show on Stern's flagship station in New York with fellow DJ Cane.)

"This whole thing is really weird," Melendez says. "Because I never really had a problem with the guy. But when I told Howard that this guy was bad-mouthing him, Cabbie kept saying that I was throwing him under the bus. He kept calling me and challenging me to a boxing match, and our hate for each other escalated from there. Every time he calls me, I hate him a little more than I did the last time."

Cabbie did not return At The Shore's calls for an interview. His promoter Don King, however, did. (See sidebar.)

The match eventually came to fruition after Melendez watched "Celebrity Boxing" on FOX-TV and asked Stern why anyone would exploit themselves and risk injury for a "measly $30,000."

"Howard asked me how much it would take for me to do it, and I told him $100,000. He said he would come up with it, and I told him I would do it," Melendez says.

Eventually, it would be more difficult to put the fight together than it was originally thought. When WJSE owner Al Parinello first heard of the possible fight, he contacted station consultant Chris Giannini, who got the ball rolling with the Taj Mahal.

Atlantic City Trump Properties President Mark Brown made a call to Donald Trump, who got on the phone with Stern and invited him to Atlantic City. Stern seemed to like the idea but later tried to broker a deal with pay-per-view. Those plans collapsed, and other venues were considered, including the WWE store in New York and venues in Las Vegas and California.

But Parinello, Giannini and Trump officials, including Vice President of Entertainment Steve Gietka, were determined to make it happen. Eventually, they did.

"When they finally told us it was going to happen, it took so long, we couldn't believe it," Parinello says. "We pulled of something really major."

"The Brawl at the Taj Mahal" won't be all that's going on May 31. In addition to the fight and the broadcast, WJSE will broadcast live at 3 a.m. for the pre-show at the Taj. After the fight, WJSE will host drawings in the Taj lobby at noon as well as 2, 5 and 6 p.m. where they will give out more than $10,000 in prizes as well as a grand prize at the final drawing of $10,000 in cash. The day will culminate with the 8 p.m. "Stuttering John Black and Blue Comedy Show" featuring the likes of Melendez, Artie Lange, Modi, Jim Florentine and members of the "Wack Pack" in the Xanadu Showroom at the Taj.

"The last time we had a Stuttering John show, we held it as a fund-raiser for the 9-11 police charity fund Howard set up," says Parinello, whose station eventually raised more than $40,000 for the fund. "It sold out and was standing-room only. I think with all of the devoted Stern fans in town, this place will sell out, too."

As for the outcome of the fight, most closely involved seem pretty split. Stern bet $10,000 on Melendez with show regular Dominic "The Bloated Attorney" Barbara. Co-host Robin Quivers also bet a grand on Melendez, and Beetlejuice thinks Cabbie's the safe bet. Engineer/writer Fred Norris and producer Gary Dell'Abate, who will fight on the undercard against E! cameraman Mike Gange, are on the fence as far as the "Brawl" goes.

"I'm very friendly with John, and I know how long and how hard he's trained for this," Parinello says. "I am convinced John will beat Cabbie by the second or third round. Although they call him Crazy Cabbie, John is crazy."

Melendez concurs: "I never desired to be a WWE wrestler and scream and yell all of the time like he does. I'm going to do my talking in the ring. This is like 'Fantasy Island' to me. I always wanted to be a boxer, and now I get to live out my dream and get paid 100,000 bucks. It's hard to knock someone out with 16-ounce gloves. But I'm going to try and break his nose."

Cabbie has said that if he beats Melendez, he's going to "rape" him in the middle of the ring. That makes sense to Melendez.

"I'm not going to say I'll do anything like that because the truth is I don't think he hates me, I think he loves me," Melendez says. "The smart money's on me. I know he has the weight and the height; I just think I'll outbox him."

Crazy Cabbie is going to smoke him and teabag him after he knocks John's Stuttering ass out. John knows it too. You can tell he's afraid of Cabbie. Is Gary still fighting Gange? I haven't heard any talk of an undercard lately.

The good news is, they'll be showing the fight on E! tomorrow night. I'm still going to listen to it live in the morning though.

Yea, im listening. The Stern road trip shows are always good.
Its to bad Lange and Stern are going to lose a boat load of cash bettin on John.

Cabbie in a knockout early in the 2nd round.

It's started now hasn't it? I'm rooting for SJ but Cabbie seems like a crazy mofo and SJ justs seems way too calm about the whole thing.

Isn't there a site that streams the show??

Sounds like Stuttering John is kicking his ass. He won round 1.

Cool! They have both talked so much shit (especially Cabbie) whoever loses has got to feel like a bitch.

Damn was i wrong about that one. Sounded like all Cabbie was doin was wrestling him to the ropes or tangling him up. All that trim spa plug, weight loss, reach advantage, weight advantage, trash talkin, all for nothin. Either Cabbie is just a slow fat slug with no endurance or SJ has some heart, maybe both.

Glad i didnt bet on that one. I was about to take Cabbie and backed out .
