Being on SERMS for a longer period of time does not mean you are going to recover better. Our bodies have to recovery on their own, the use of things like SERMS just helps to shorten the process. And after you discontinue the use of a SERM, your test levels will go back down. So staying on the drug for a longer period of time will just hinder the recovery. 4-6 weeks is more than enough time.. any longer may end up being detrimental. After a couple weeks have passed, and the drugs have had time to clear your system, then get bloods done. Hopefully you will be close to back to normal. If not, then you can either let your body gradually get back to normal on its own, or you can prepare yourself for another course.
Second, studies show that the use a clomid can desensitize the pituitary to GnRH after just a couple weeks. This is similar to what happens to LH when you use HCG for too long. So using Clomid for 8 weeks would be counter productive. Now on the other hand, Nolva has been shown to do the opposite. So you can run these 2 serms together to counteract each other. I think there are 2 ways you can do this, while not staying on them too long. First would be to use them both for 4 weeks, but stagger the weeks you use them. Start with Clomid and run it for the first 4 weeks. After two weeks, when Clomid has been show to desensitize the pituitary to GnRH, then start the Nolva which will help counteract this. Continue the Nolva for 4 weeks. So you have 6 total weeks on SERMS. The second way I would use them is to start them both at week one, discontinue clomid after 4 weeks, and then run Nolva for the entire 6 weeks.
So it would be:
1-4 Clomid 50/50/25/25
3-6 Nolva 40/40/20/20
or
1-4 Clomid 50/50/25/25
1-6 Nolva 40/40/20/20/20/20
Then run your AI for that time to help keep estrogen from rebounding, and your bodies hormone levels in favor of test. I like the addition of proviron in PCT a couple weeks in as well. That will help lower SHBG, make more of your test available, and will help with any Libido issues that may occur while running 2 SERMS. All of which are important for recovery and feeling well.
That is just my 2 cents.
