I am a bit over whelmed to say the least at the new venture I am about to take on. I am doing the PT course online while working FT at a job that requires me to be on call and I could get called out in the middle of the night, training for another marathon and tending to my family. Where I find the time to study is beyond me. I have been working out for years so I am sure that is helping with my studies and I haven't had any difficulty in the course.....yet.
I am now trying to wrap my head around where do I go next? I think small is wise...I can't go big fast b/c everyone knows that that doesn't work. And I need to do this while working my current job. I may be able to cut back by a few hours when the time comes but I think I would like to keep doing what I am doing, while pocketing some extra money and getting rid of some unwanted debt.
How much do I charge per person? I live in a very rural area and I know of at least 2 other personal trainers (that may be all that there is) and one of them charges $25/hr for one on one or $20/hr for groups, per person (such as friends who want to workout together) She also goes to their home and never to a gym. I have enough equipment that I could easily do it out of my own home, or would it be wiser to go to someone else's home? Am I getting ahead of myself? Should I wait to see what each individual wants? Should I set up 1-3 month packages so a person is locked in with me? Should I help them for cardio as well or just weights and cardio if needed?
So many questions and for once in my life I have no one to ask! LOL I am sure I have more questions but I will stop there.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this!
