Starting an MMA training gym

While bored - Been reading some magazines (look mom I can read!) and the newest fad coming up is MMA training gyms.

Apparently you can create one anywhere - just hire a trained guy to do the training. And there's no shortage of guys who want to learn how to grapple. But don't you require shitloads of insurance/state permits/health inspecvtion permits, etc. first??? Not for me - i'm just curisous here.

No insurance needed because everyone signs their ass away when they join one of those places.

Or rent a big space, put up some pipe for chinup bars, get some mats, kettlebells, rubber Oly plates and call yourself a Crossfit gym so you can charge $200/month.

The owners of my gym opened an MMA gym not sure how it is doing he is always there now great guy but he hired a douchbag manager at my gym to watch over things no where near the people skills the owner has.

It's a goldmine

you dnt need credentials

you have to know how to sell yourself and get the right people involved...get ur name out there and it's a fuckin gold mine

Honestly, iu'd probably join one. Just to find out how it is to be one of those wrestlers in WWE who only exists to get beatup and lose all the time.

Tell enough guys who actually know what they are doing that they can workout for free if they teach "classes" and pay them like $40 per "class" so they can get paid to train by beating the crap out of other guys.

Yes, it is a liability nightmare but welcome to the gym industry.

most carry some insurance, but all require members to sign a waiver. They are not cheap to open id done right. Also you need legit people to teach.

I dont know if i would call them goldmines either.
