New member
Which shoes are better for squating?

A.) K-Swiss tennis shoes.

B.) New balance 803's (running/all terrain).

THANKS GUYS!:D

i'd go with the new balance just because....who the hell wears k-swiss?? new balance are alot more supportive and comfortable anyway

Sooo thats why the bitchz where always laughing at me at the bar when I was trying to pimp. I thought it was my plaid shorts:bright:

Squat shoes:

#1 - Chuck Taylors

#2 - Wrestling Shoes

#3 - Barefoot

You need a flat surface to squat on.......period.

This is 100% right, I use the New Balance 1700's because they are perfectly flat. Also because they look like 70's pimp shoes. They better be pimp for $160!!!

Chuck Taylors = $35

Wrestling Shoes = fairly expensive

Barefoot = free...but I live in Kentucky so we all go walking around barefoot:)

Bfold,

I disagree with your assessment that EVERYONE needs a flat surface. I have rather poor ankle flexibility and in order for me to execute a proper plifting squat, I need a little heel on my shoes. Not to mention, I tryo to focus on driving my feet out, not down ala Louie Simmons, and for that I need a shoe with a wide base and a little more lateral support than Chucks or wrestling shoes.
My choice, believe it or not, is Sketchers sport shoes. They have a wide base, a little heel, and some chunky ass tread so my feet don't slide. I highly recommend them, but if Chucks work for you (I hated them), then go for it as they are about half as much. Good Luck,
Joe
