Squat Form Check

Looks good. Nice speed, great depth.

I would recommend trying some Pause reps (hold the bottom position for 2-3 secs) once a week and some Speed work (bounce at the bottom) once a week. Both of these work great for learning the proper speed, and for how to bounce.

Again, looks good to me. You are ready to start loading up the bar.

If he's a beginner, trying to utilize the stretch reflex may lead him to injury. Not everyone can/will do it properly. I'd say, stick with what you're doing now, and don't worry about bouncing out of the hole until you get more advanced.

Thanks man! I am currently doing the 3x5 program. Would you recommend incorporating these pause reps into the program or at a latter time?

Additionally, do you think my back is arched enough? It seems like my upper back could be a little more upright. Thoughts?

Thanks for the input.

Nice gym, is that a home set up? If so change the fucking music!

LOL, no it is an actual gym. Regarding the music...yeah, its bad. Not something to help get the weight moving.

I agree and almost edited my post. The above is something I would save for when you have some issue w/ flexability (my personal reason for doing them) or when you need to push the lift in a different way.

When you can't add weight to the bar anymore repost.

Its not a problem until it becomes a problem. Why worry with pauses and speed until you need too (exception is during a deload period)? Just keep squatting.
