Soy Protein Vs. Whey Protein

hesselite

New member
hey folks. i know i'm going to sound uneducated, but is there a difference between soy protein and whey protein? is one better for mass gains? any advantages to one over the other? i'm going to be picking up some new powder in the next week or so and i'm not sure whether i should try something new.

thanks!

Whey has a higher biological availability value than soy protein - which means that your body can utilize it more efficiently for packing on the mass....

...but like risky said...I don't see anything wrong with some soy in the diet....

As long as it's not your sole source of protein, soy is a good addition to a bodybuilder's diet.

i agree with ms. soy is a good addition, not a good
primary choice. best bet, mix the proteins whey , soy,egg
caseinate.....these combos will give you a time released effect
so youre blood streams amino acid pool will be constantly topped
off and youre muscles will have a constant supply of protein
whey gets dumped really fast in the body so your muscles catabolize till your next meal
