there seems at be some serious abnormal growth issues and they keep and only tell you about worse case scenarios IE:
Terminating pregnancy, or a possible fatal condition upon birth (they're still not sure as they're still testing $$$$$$)

My wife is so hurting right now and it's ripping me apart.
Just in case you haven't seen me around as much posting. I'm still here but not much to say.

Ortiz, I hope they are just being alarmist. They said my son was too big at one point. Wasn't a thing wrong with him, he was just big (2 oz. shy of 9 lbs at birth, which is pretty big for a first baby).

my close friend was told his son would be born with mental and physical defects because his 5th month blood work came back and it was out of range in certain spots. they did a whole slew of testing and when they were 99.9% sure there was not an issue, they said they were just being safe. its not the first time ive heard that too. some labs, i was told, have minimum/maximum numbers for blood work and they set their own limits. one lab could say normal, another could say danger zone. im just trying to help you see that it could be the doctors playing it very safe. dont rack yourself sick yet.

keep the faith. . .i can't tell you how many people i know that had similar situations when their kids were in untero, then the kid was born, and turned out to be completely normal. . .the one guy i work with, all three of his kids supposedly had serious developmental issues while they were gestating and, each time one was born the meds told them that they might not live past 12 y/o. . .all three of them (two boys and a girl) are beautiful, they all three have masters degrees, they were all great athletes and two of them have kids of their own now (the other is still in college working on her doctorate). . .pre-birth development is a funny thing, and not all fetuses develop the same. . .there are always things that are outside the norm, and turn out to be nothing, other than "different".

She came out perfect in every way. I am passing that luck on to you!!

so she had slight bone development?
my wife did have the amnio, they've ruled out downs, 13 (something), etc etc all came back negative

first it was like "we can't see her bladder, her thighs are short and slightly bowed, her chest is bell shaped"

second ultra chest looks much better (normal), we see the bladder, thigh bones still have a curve to them , and we are very concerned about the bow" says the Dr at Tufts in Boston
they say she may have http://ghr.nlm.nih.gov/condition=campomelicdysplasia
they are testing for it right now with the amnionic fluid so I should know something hopefully by weeks end. Then in 2 weeks we go for another ultrasound

Her OB was talking all about possible "termination" because the conditions they are "testing for" are life threatning.
