So Doggcrapp has Been Training me Online

KJIGGA

New member
Hey guys...I am not writing an advertisement, please dont turn this into a flame fest. I have been lurking on this board for a while now and think its time I say something regarding DoggCrapp and my experience as his trainee.

First off, I hired DC back in Oct. to help me with my training and eating program. I read his posts on animals boards (like everyone else LOL) and I really took to it because of:
1.The simplicity of his approach
2. His track record with other board members
3. His absolute confidence in his program

When I contacted DC, I was horribly weak and skinny (165-170) with a high ratio of bodyfat. I was looking to get back into the gym and surpass my college shape of 225lbs and about 10% at 5'10". Over the past few years I have gotten so caught up with the latest and greatest routines and diets that I had gotten nowhere. (I use my old Men's Fitness magazines to swat flies now)

So I cough up the $400 trainer fee to hire DC for 3 months....pretty tough considering I don't know the guy. DC got me set up and rolling in about a week (early Nov). I followed his routine to a T. Eating, training, eating, stretching, eating, cardio, supps and eating.

I must say DC's patience with me made things easier as well (like when I forgot to RP some setys LOL). Or when I want him to tell me my eating was good for the day.....this guy knows more about what I'm eating everyday than my gf!

In less than 8 weeks I gained over 20lbs! I think my best weight was 194lbs. AWESOME!:) I couldnt believe how quickly I piled it on. After those first 4 weeks, I was getting "hey are you working out" or "J is getting big" from my friends at work. That is the type of compliment that kept me going. BECAUSE ...TRUST ME....the work is hard.....you'll be eating like a fucking madman and the training is very intense (but brief). I felt like a LOSER at first carrying my logbook everywhere, but hey, nothing else was working for me either LOL.

UNfortunately, my training was interrupted when I got into a skiing accident during the holiday season. A drunk skier crushed me from behind while I was waiting to get on the lift .....dickhead!(Bruised ribs and popped knuckles are not conducive to DC's method).

I am just starting up again and for not having followed and diet and training protocol for the last 5 weeks or so, my strength and bodyweight are still much better than where I left off.....I'm still sitting at about 180 (trust me it feels a LOT different than 165-170) and I'm using weights from about my 4th week training with DC.

Oh yeah, I explained my predicament to DC and he has supported me 100%. That makes me feel like that $400 was well worth it.

I am going to try and keep a log on here so some of you guys can see what I'm talking about. Or if you guys have any questions about my training or eating or about DC's let me know....I don't pass myself off as a guru by any means (hehe) but I'll try to help

Peace out brothers

thanks LS I WILL keep it up. Just got back from the gym....right now I'm cooking 3lbs of lean chili, 3lbs of chix breast and grilling some mahimahi for dinner.

so far so good. I may eat it all tonite!

Sounds great. I have read that Cycling for Pennies thread completely. I would be interested in how your progressing with that style training.

good stuff bro. congrats on the body composition change. ive only weighed in the 190's once. much of it was water (ahem...go figure) and people told me i was fat. i'd like to get back in the 190's but not be smooth and water laden.

today is day one of training officially for me. got my binder all set up. ive been eating all day, probably not to the amount i need to though. i'll have to get my food program set up tonight on my PC.

but again, good job on the progress. its good to hear.

Hey dude, thats cool that it works for you. I am in my second week! Could you do me a super favor and maybe post what a typical day of FOOD might be. I get that i am trying to do super high protien and lower carbs in the evening. But what kind of food where you downing?

THanks,
-Fatty

kjigga actually posted this on animal's board:

8- Bowl of Fiber1, procomplex shake, 2 cups milk and 3 tablespoons of olive oil

1030-1/4lb homeade burger on whole wheat bagel, procomplex shake, 2 cups milk, 1 tablespoon olive oil

1-Lunch...I usually take clients out for lunch so I order a salad, jumbo shrimp appetizer and fat ass t-bone steak, maybe a baked potato (I let the clients gawk aty me polish this off with ease)

330-1/3lb chicken, 1 cup wild rice, 2 cups milk, 1tablespoon olive oil (sometimes I just eat 2 doubleburgers)

6- Either my post workout shake (110gr carb/85 gr protien) OR 1/3lb london broil over salad

8-12oz Eye round steak, some sauteed onions and zuchinni

10- 12oz salmon filet

1130-Procomplex shake

Then I wake at 3 in the AM and eat some steak while I am half asleep. This can get messy as I have woken up with sliced london broil under my pillow before

You have a lot of protein shakes. Nothing wrong with that in my eyes, but i hear people say you should try to get protien from solid food. I think drinks are fine.... sorry, just a thought.

-Fatty

A burger, 3 steaks, chicken, and salmon qualifies as enough solid protein for a single day imo :)

Not everyday is like that Fatty. I use the shakes when I cant stomach anymore food, when I am at work, when I'm traveling for work and after a workout.

Again I am not a big guy....I just working for it! Here's what I ate/plan on eating for today (note that I'm not working out today or I'd throw in a post workout shake of 100+grams carbs & about 85gr of protien........

7am- 2 cups skim milk, 1/2 bag of rice, 1/2lb of my lowfat beef chili, 2 tbsp of olive oil

10am- 3/4lb of skinless boneless chicken breast, half a yam

12pm- 3/4lb steak, green beens, 5 jumbo shrimp, handful of fries

3pm- 55gr pro complex protien shake, 1.5 cups milk, 2 tbsp olive oil

6pm - 1/2 lb of mahi mahi, spinach salad with olive oil and balsamic

9pm - some meat (whatevers low fat and left over) and some zuchini sauteed in a little olive oil

11pm - maybe some sugar free jello, and a protien shake

I also usually get up at night and stuff my face with some left over chicken or steak.

Take this from a former fat guy.....you will feel bloated all day....just keep eating. Its amazing but true....you goto bed thinking your getting fatter, but when you wake up you're back to normal. If you have a super fast metabolism you can eat some carbs with dinner at night....if your like me (medicore metabolism) cut the carbs out after 3pm and hit a bit of cardio in the AM.

good luck.

Hey, with all the food you are and you did not mention any cardio to speak of, are you adding lean mass or just gaining alot of weight? Are you eating about 4500 + calories a day ? If I ate that much I know I would blimp out and bust the seams in my pants.
Peace :fro:

I live in NYC and the grocery stores are so damn expensive....especially for lean meats. For ex. boneless, skinless chicken breasts are $7.99 a lb here. I recently discovered freshdirect.com and I order from them about 1-2 per week. They are much cheaper and have a wide variety of meat fish and chicken etc. AS far as prepping it really depends on my work schedule and whether or not I'll be traveling

This week I'm not traveling so its easy. I had about 3lbs of lean ground beef, 3 lbs of fish, 3 lbs of chicken, and some fresh veggies delivered on sunday.

So here was my sunday...at least 2 hours worth of it anyways....
I cooked up about 4 servings of chili, put it over rice and stuck each serving in one of those disposable tupperware thingys (disposable tupperware rocks BTW). So boom....breakfast for 4 days....chili for breakfast will put hair on your chest.

I took 4 yams chopped them up into fries....sprayed a little Pam olive oil on them and baked em for 40 minutes......they taste awesome and thats about 8 servings worth of carbs that I'll consume over the next 4 days....just leave em in the fridge

I hooked up the chicken on my george foreman grill after marinating.....I leave it in the fridge for up to 3 days....anything after 3 days tastes a bit funky to me and I dont freeze the stuff LOL

I eat the fish right away over 2 days.

So all this plus my lunch at work (always taking clients out) and my supps gives me about 3 days worth of solid eating. Believe me I've tried it all when it comes to cooking....cook for the whole week, freeze the food, leave it in the fridge for a week blah blah blah. I buy groceries for about 3 days ahead...I dont have a freezer or a basement to store much more and frozen food tastes nasty. When your eating so much you cannot forgo taste. And with my schedule it is hard to plan a full week out.

I'll get some more groceries tomorrow and hook it up again!

Hope that answers your question.

Thats what I thought too...BLIMP OUT LOL. But really, you may gain a little bit of water/fat, but judging by my strength gains I was definitely adding a ton of lean mass as well.

When I had to stop working out after my skiing accident I couldnt believe how quickly I "leaned" out. You are turning your body into a fat burning furnace on this routine, literally. I sweat after each meal starting with lunch....your metabolism is racing so when you miss meals or when you do need to lean down your at a good starting point.

I do cardio....prolly more than DC would have me do.....I hit treadmill about 3-5x per week for anywhere between 30-45minutes and never on leg days. I take it slow and easy at 3.5mph and I just adjust the incline throughout in intervals to get the heart rate here and there.

Also, I have NO freaking clue how many calories I am getting in. I count the protien only. Thats one aspect I really like about the program. Who the fuck has time to sit there and add all that shit up? I write down what I eat everyday and as long as I'm banging down about 70 grams of protien every meal I smile.

I've tried some of these diets out there and I spent more time nitpicking over cals and grams than I did in the gym! I mean I know a lot of people on this board have tried Mr. X's diets and for those that could do it ...more power to you. Personally, I am a busy guy and theres no way I would have the time for something like that. Not a flame by any means towards Mr. X, its just reality for me LOL

hey kjigga, great idea with the food. I do something similar...make bulk food for up to a week and pack them away in the ziplock plastic ware...they stack nicely too!

I am the biggest fan of the Foreman Grill...I swear that I've helped to sell hundreds of those things!

great idea with the "yam fries." I think I just may eat yams after all prepared this way!

Thanks for the input & way to go on the program...after a bit of dabbling with it, I have really enjoyed the change and the pain! :velvett:

hey buddy- sounds good....but I I really dont think food holds for a whole week...meat just starts getting nasty after several days LOL I've tried it !!!

Yam fries.....slice em up then spray a little olive oil on them...bake at 450 for 40 minutes or however you like....its the only way I can eat yams !!

The most outrageous thing I've heard on this post so far
Chicken 7.99 per pound . I guess for once I can say I am glad to be in the midwest 10 lb for 20 $ at Sams club

Are there other outrageous things on this post that you were thinking about there buddy? LOL

Welcome to Manhattan prices. You should"source" me some of that Sam's Chicken......I wish!

On the aspect of shakes... I drink about 3 50gram protein shakes a day, just so I can get an easy 150 grams in, then usually eat a high carb/low protein breakfast (1/4 cup Capn Crunch PB & 3/4 Cup Fiber one), then primarily a piece of fruit with each shake, apple or banana, and alot of meet at night (with almost no carbs). So I take in about 215-230 grams protein a day, about 130-180 grams carbs a day, with lot fats, and I have noticed some signifigant strength gains, as well as about a 7lb gain, got a little fat over Xmas, but Im working it off as we speak.

so I like protein shakes as they are easy and effective way of getting a large amount of protein in b/t classes for me and right after lifting, as I live a pretty hectic schedule.
