Slim for bodybuilding

How healthy are these shakes as snacks while on a cutting cycle, you know Sometimes you don 't have time to cook and those slim fast shakes call my name, my other question is since it contains sodium water retention does it create?

They are absolute garbage. The first ingredient is sugar. The protein in the product comes from soy protein. Soy protein is estrogenic and has a very poor amino acid profile compared to whey protein.

If you don't have time to cook, drink a high quality whey protein isolate and eat some plain rice cakes and almonds a long side of it. It'll provide much more nutrients and be cheaper then any slim fast shake.

At my office at the university I have a small tub of isolation from n2bm.com, a bag of plain rice cakes and a bag of almonds. Whenever I can't get a meal in for whatever reason, I'll drink two scoops of the isolation and eat 20 almonds and 4-5 rice cakes.

come on ashley, you are being lazy here and I know you are smart enough to know the answer to this.

anything in a can or box is obviously not going to be healthy

you need to eat whole foods.. veggies, complex carbs, fruit, lean proteins.. and of course tons of water

feel free to message me and I can help you fix your diet

When cutting, a great snack is raw veggies. You can literally cut up a giant plate and snack on them throughout the day. They contain very low calories but are high in vitamins, minerals, fibre, and water.

Do yourself a favor, and get a protein product made with 100% whey Isolate. It would be the best thing to replace your meals every once in a while, but definitely not the garbage you mentioned. Whey isolate is the purest form of whey protein, and it has no carbs or fats in it, since there is no lactose there. Personally, I use the Isolation because it tastes great, it is 100% isolate, has no artificial sweetners and additives, and its price is more than reasonable. Therefore, it would be a much better choice. However, you should never rely on those shakes to replace your whole foods - they should only act as a filler for your nutrition when you can't get to take in all the macros you need each day.

Absolute crap man, just do your own veggie shakes.. they can taste truly amazing and contain very few calories. I used to hate veggies but you actually learn to love them if you give them a chance. Garlic, onion, pimiento, spinach, tomato..
Generally speaking, the more fiber the better.. makes you more "filled".
