About an hour before I lift, I mix a shake with milk, protein powder, and a half cup of oats. I want the complex carbs to help power me through my workout.
As soon as I finish my last set, I consume a drink with 50 grams of dextrose with 10 grams of creatine and 15 grams of glutamine peptides mixed in. I use this to wash down 400 mg. of Alpha Lipoic Acid.
10-15 minutes later when I get home, I mix a shake with water, 30 grams of maltodextrin, and 60 grams of fast absorbing protein. After that, I am about as bloated as I can be. Sometimes I lie down, but then sometimes fluid starts creeping up my throat since gravity isn't holding it down.
