Violent offenders are bigger????! What do you base that on? Fear?Perry said:Sorry guys, but that reasoning is fallacious.
The study showed violent offenders had higher test levels. This Does Not mean that guys with higher levels are Violent!
( their usually bigger too,,,do you think that being big makes you a murderer!?! ) same logic, or lack thereof.
When my test levels were low, btw I sometimes "fly off" at people, yell, get angry at nothing, eerr, same things I tell my wife to "relax" over!! It is estrogen in my opinion. When I'm on, I feel better, confident, more relaxed in normal situations. Its now proven that low test causes lots of real physical problems that replacement helps fight from heart disease to osteoporosis to depression. Is it just coincidence that women get Far more depression than men?
Roid rage and tendencies towards aggressive behavior are 2 different things. I agree that "roid rage" is just an excuse to display inappropriate behavior, however androgen levels do absolutely affect propensities towards violence and aggression. If estrogen makes you rage, then why aren't more crimes being committed by overly emotional fat chicks. Hang out with a bunch of guys with high test levels; prisons, football lockerrooms, etc., tell me there isn't more aggressive behavior being displayed than at an old lady's tea parties where the estrogen levels are raging I'm sure. Are you aware that chemical castration is being mulled over as a way to treat violent offenders? I don't think this will address their rampant estrogen levels that according to you causes their rage. It is more than a coincidence that the majority of violent crime in America is committed by boys/men in the 16-25 age group.
BTW, female depression has a hell of alot more to do with serotonin levels than estrogen levels.
