Should I trust her?

So I discovered that the company I work for has a free dietitian available to all employees..............for free! I did some research on her and found out she is daisy fresh out of college with her Masters degree. Im wondering if she will understand that I want to be a 200lb beast and could write up a diet for me. Most of the work she has done has been for older women and men at the company to lose weight and prolong their life. Not sure she has attacked what im looking for yet. Hmm....what you all think?

Most likely she's targeting a different group and will not understand your needs. Treating people to lose weight and dealing with BB's are very different and requires different type of knowledge.

I tend to agree with you. I do however have a back up plan though. Ive targeted a chiropractor in the area that is an amateur bodybuilder who gives diet advice. There is a urologist who is a massive fucker who helps people with their diets as well. Ive gotten a lot of amazing feedback from EF folks, but some of it is difficult for me to understand without someone explaining it to me in person. Im not the type of person to read from a list and just eat it. I like to know what foods are doing what in my body and how im effected by it and what to expect.

Its all part of this game though, and I relate it to driving a car. When you are a first time driver, you are looking right in front of the hood as you are going down the road. When you get a little more comfortable you begin to look much farther out. At this stage of my nutritional experience, im looking about 2 cars ahead right now. It just takes time.

And that's the way it should be looked at. You're correct!

Why do you need diet advice?

It really is quite simple.

(1) Cal maintenance, adjust by 10-20% depending on whether your bulking or cutting (see Tat's sticky)
(2) Determine your macros: P>30%, F>20%, the rest is up to you
(3) Eat natural foods except perhaps PWO
(4) consume 4+ meals with protein (I no longer believe 6 is necessary, but if your cal requirement is high it may be practical, although cf studies which suggest regular protein intake can make you protein refractory)

Why? because knowledge is power. I hope you don't think you learned everything you need to know about diet from a sticker..

Kind of what I thought as well. Like I said before, I like when things are explained to me. I learn better that way.

what are the negatives to going to see what she has to say?

Either you take her advice, or you don't.

I would imagine she will be able to provide you will all the information you need to gain weight, like Desmond says, nutrition isn't rocket science.
