Should i stay away from red meats?

God I love beef! This thread made me decide to pull some steaks out the freezer for dinner.

I always try to get 95% lean ground beef, but sometimes I have to do with 92%. They say a little fat in there gives it the flavor. I love to make homemade burgers, and since I am in an apt, I pan-fry 'em. Delicious.

As for steaks, I stick to top round, sirloin, and chuck cuts. Relatively cheaper, lets me buy a lot.

I just had THE BEST fricken steak I've had in a long time at Red Lobster. Some crab legs, steak, steamed brocolli :-) YUM

Protein Protein Brocolli.

Awesome meal.
Who says you can't eat good tasting stuff when you are on a strict diet plan?...
It wasn't even a cheat meal. I love it!

Me too! i've been that way ever since I was a kid.
Same.

I haven't had red meat in a while. I used to get 96% fat free beef from Trader Joe's.

I'd cook it and eat it with some mustar and organic kethup with some veggies.

Last time I had some read meat it was filet mignon for New Year's Eve.

95% lean ground beef = good
sirloin = good
ribeye = bad
prime rib = bad
filet mignon = good
lean minute steak = good

these are relative to each other pertaining to the question at hand :-)
