on the one hand, sex can only be allowed on TV if strict guidelines are adhered to with what organs are shown, what state of attention they are in etc, and who and what age can see them, lesbian and gay kisses still whip up contreversy (see ally mcbeal.....and that was some shit kissing anyway....soft lip bullshit, where were the tounges huh? )
on the other hand, 50 years ago people freaked if they saw it on TV, risque ads were unheard of, clothing was conservative, it wasnt discussed, certainly not in the media, it wasnt given instructions in school and only really got discussed in biology
do you think we still need to move foward in becoming less inhibited as a populace, where sex is seen as a normal subject and intercourse is no longer stigmatised, or do you feel that the media etc downplaying of sex is responsible for many woes inflicted on society (teenage pregnancies, STD explosion rates) as well as a sense of declining morality in todays youth regarding the one of the most intimate physical interaction there is between 2 people
