on the one hand, sex can only be allowed on TV if strict guidelines are adhered to with what organs are shown, what state of attention they are in etc, and who and what age can see them, lesbian and gay kisses still whip up contreversy (see ally mcbeal.....and that was some shit kissing anyway....soft lip bullshit, where were the tounges huh? :D)

on the other hand, 50 years ago people freaked if they saw it on TV, risque ads were unheard of, clothing was conservative, it wasnt discussed, certainly not in the media, it wasnt given instructions in school and only really got discussed in biology

do you think we still need to move foward in becoming less inhibited as a populace, where sex is seen as a normal subject and intercourse is no longer stigmatised, or do you feel that the media etc downplaying of sex is responsible for many woes inflicted on society (teenage pregnancies, STD explosion rates) as well as a sense of declining morality in todays youth regarding the one of the most intimate physical interaction there is between 2 people

Well... we sure don´t want children less than 16 to see all the things that can happen... they simply aren´t prepared and it can traumatize them. Other than that, i also think that sex shouldn´t be used to sell, or to promote programs that aren´t really about sex. Sex is a serious issue. But... it´s a normal and healthy part of our lifes!

I dont think I would use the word taboo b/c sex is a wonderful thing created by God to be shared between a man and his wife. I just think that sex has been exploited into something different from God's intentions by many. Children deffinitely not be subjected pornography and things of this nature b/c it will tarnish their view of what is truly a gift from God.

For many, sex has become the focal point of life. Many individuals base who they will mary on their sexual relationship with an individual. People are getting married for the wrong reasons anymore and this is one of them. They are going into mariage having already experienced all that make mariage sacred, thus in many cases destroying their chances for a successfull marriage.

Na, I dont think it is too taboo or not taboo enough---I think sex is misunderstood.
