Does any of you know how clothing sizes are determined by the manufacterers in the first place?!
They hire "fit" models, make the clothing for the size that they are SUPPOSED to be and with mathematical formula determine larger and smaller sizes. So now, if the professional model who is SUPPOSED to be certain specific measurements (not weight, but cm's or inches as in waist, hips, bust, inseam, etc) is NOT the size she SAYS she is.... GUESS WHAT?
THE CLOTHING IS EITHER BIGGER OR SMALLER THAN WHAT THE LINE WAS BEFORE OR THAN ANOTHER BRAND
Or some stores change/alter sizes based on the types of people they "want" wearing their clothes and representing their "image". I used to wear Abercrombie everything in high school/first few years of college. I think they used to run big, because I wore a 6-8 (and anywhere from an 8-12 in juniors everywhere else due to screwy sizes). A year or two ago Abercrombie changed their sizes around, along with making the clothes a lower quality, and at the same size I was then I can barely squeeze into a 10 or 12 there, IF they even have those sizes in the store, because they want everyone who shops there to look like their skinny, twiggy little pre-pubescent looking models. And forget finding tops there that fit any more, because they seem to have forgotten that some women (myself included) have breasts!
