I would have been on more over the weekend, but it seems that a family member thinks I'm OBSESSED :rolleyes: with being on EF and fitness. Because I wasn't able to be on or log anything in my book (for fear of ridicule), I'm going to have to think about what I ate and hopefully remember it all.

Ugh! I'm starting to feel some of this backlash myself and it's so annoying. :evil: I definitely sympathize, SG!
 
Go away for two weeks and look what happens..........

SG, when you are a strong person; entrepreneurial, committed, passionate, driven in all areas of life, so many others (men and women) are intimidated. You're not perfect, but to others you appear to be. Even those close to you, family, friends, partners can struggle to be accepting of you and that is hard to handle. "Accepting" people are hard to find, especially as we ALL have our frailties and insecurities.

I am so sorry that things have not worked out for you and Mr SG. Having been through a similar situation myself I can truly sympathise and have extreme praise for how you are handling it; I just immersed myself in a vodka bottle/junk food frenzy for a year or so before I stopped feeling sorry for myself.

Glad you found the condo pretty quickly and are liking the gym. You'll have some ups and downs through this process. Keep strong.

You know what.... My family has been doing that to me since I was 16. Thought I was a weight lifting work-out maniac. Now they just accept that that's the way I am. It's funny as soon as something aches and I say my back hurts. The first thing out of their mouth is "Well maybe you are pushing yourself to much in the gym and need to take a break." I'm like,"Then I could be like mother who is crippled over and aways complains of hurting!" I think a little pain here and there is.... well only human!
Anyway They'll figure it out that no matter what they say if you stick with your guns and show them how not working out is worse and that exercise is a healthy addiction maybe they will get off your back or conform.
I get the snide remark here and there but for the most part people are accepting of what I do, and they look at it like I am motivated and doing something they only wish they had the motivation to do.
Keep up your good work and you know in your head that you're not whacked!

Man... Congrats! It's just crazy how over the last month your life has/and will change. It's nice to have your start on life again and be able to be you and not have to listen to someone tearing you down! Stay strong :)

He's willing to work on things. He's mentioned talking to someone about why he is the way he is. He's realizing that if he doesn't fix it, he may be alone for the rest of his life. He's the only one who CAN fix it - even if it was instilled in him as a child and not by will.

We're going to continue to talk and be friends, but I need to see some REAL progress on his part before I consider anything more than dating. I'm also not wearing my rings anymore. He doesn't like that at all, but I really need to totally step out of his "comfort" zone to see how/if it's going to work. I'm more patient than a probably should be, but I do care about him, so we'll see how it goes.

This sounds like a neat dish. Did you bake it - if so, at what temp & for how long? I may try a version of this over the weekend.

Here are the specifics.....

Chop a whole onion, cook in skillet with 1 TBSP olive oil & butter spray until translucent. Add 2-3 cups broccoli flowerettes and cook for about 5 min.

Add 1-2 cups sliced mushrooms, 2 cans chicken breast(drained), 2 TBSP parm cheese, 1 cup sour cream & any kind of shreaded cheese. Mix it all up (in the skillet) and cook for about 15-20 min until all veggies are tender. You could also bake it, but why? Just more dirty dishes!

I was trying to find something to eat last night and saw the cans of chicken in the pantry. I went to the internet and searched for canned chicken recipes and there it was. It's VERY good! Hope you all enjoy!

Yep, Quaker Old Fashioned....they could have been just a little more moist coating wise though. Pretty good with some honey mustard.

I'm not sure what the brand is, but I ordered them from dps.com when I ordered my Glutamine & protein powder. They come with a MYO Tape too.

Had to change my program a little due to fatigue in bi's a couple of days after training back. Decided to train them together instead. It's a little disappointing to have to drop my weights down on bi's after hitting them doing back. Messes with my head a little.

Will start training chest & tri's together also due to the same issue.


I'm feeling really weak lately. :( I know some of it is because I'm not training as soon after eating because I'm throwing the cardio back in. In order to get the full benefit of cardio, I have to wait 3 hours after eating. Once I get moved, I'll be able to hop down to the gym 2x a day to get the cardio done in the AM and hopefully get my weights back up WHERE THEY BELONG! I was on the CYBEX and the gym manager goes over to the mag rack and grabs the Oxygen Mag. He says - "Thought that was you for a second, but your more fit"! lol I think it was the March '06 issue - Made me feel pretty good!


I see quite a few people who know me from work. They all look at me like - holy shit! I never knew you looked like THAT! - pretty funny. We have a dress code and NOTHING revealing is allowed, so I'm totally covered up.

There's also one girl (previous client) who was strutting around the day I was being given the tour. She was all smiles that day. The next time she saw me I was in my gym clothes (nothing spectacular, regular shorts not tight, and a sport bra type "training" top) I think she swallowed her strutter attitude that day. At least while I'm there anyway! (ha ha) Hmmmmm, maybe it's my breasteses that intimidate her - lol

Then he was going around asking people what they thought about 90% of the people said from the profile they saw a resemblence. I'll take it as a compliment.

OH hell girl you have some of mine I'm a d cup and hate it. THey get in the way! I keep hoping they go down from the lifting and cardio and dieting I do but no luck so far!!!! I should be happy right people pay big buck for them but oh well gotta have something to bitch about. LOL

Yeah I would be happy with just a C. Then again I'm happy with who I am... That's one feature I wish I could have had fairy dust sprinkled on. I guess we all have to have something we think is a flaw. Then again I know about women with running who have a D cup and they told me how bad it sucked. I didn't have any problems, They definitely didn't hold me back :)

Just take a deep breath...relax....think about where you've 'been' and where you are 'NOW'.... chill out and enjoy having to start over. Some people think that the whole process of starting over is a PAIn in the you know what....but when you look at it from a different point of view, it could be such a great and positive thing.(In your case...it is :) )

Now, the place is a mess, so what....BUT you get to put some time and energy into making your new place YOUR VERY OWN home... most people dont get a chance to start fresh and new....you have that and in that sense its a good thing. As far as the diet and everything else, I highly doubt that it will affect you bad to take some time off...I hope you find your peace really soon and are back and running smoothly without A WORRY IN THE WORLD...... :heart:
