Scheduling cardio around leg training

I find I have to do cardio on my off days because if I do it before I train legs, my legs will be too tired to lift heavy, and if I do it after I won't be able to move my legs fast enough to get my heart rate up. Also, I find that I can't really do cardio the day after I train my legs because they're too sore. So that takes out 2 days of the week for cardio. What do you guys do, do you dodge these 2 days (legs day and the day after) for cardio?

I workout at night and do cardio in the morning. Doing cardio the morning after leg day helps me alot for some reason. I also strecth the hell out of my legs, before, during and after a leg workout. If you don't do this already give it a shot.

Thats interesting...

I find that when doing the stationary bike (I don't like running, too destructive) I need to have high resistance to get my heart rate at optimal levels. The disadvantage of this is that its almost resistance training and I don't want to overtrain my legs with cardio...

Take the day off after legs, then cardio the morning after that. I can't accelerate at all though... have to be careful crossing the street too.

it's funny you should ask this...a buddy of mine asked me this earlier today. I just do it after my leg workout....I wait about 15-20 min. after the workout then start stretching really good, then I hit cardio. But since you have to use high resistance....I'd suggest waiting untill the day after or even two days later to do it. I wouldn't do cardio on my off days though, you have to give your nervous system a break to so you can grow.

There is no way I can do cardio after training quads, It's hard enough to walk out to my car. That's why I do my cardio in the morning and you should too.
