Not yet - still in Los Angeles. back on the redeye tomorrow nite so training has to wait until Thurs or Fri or the weekend. Its great getting away from the office & makign some solid contacts in my new industry. Actually may be getting very involved in developing some of the standards & practices as well bringing some of the processes to a new simplified / streamlined level of sophistication. Basically its exciting to me because I've always wanted to be a defining part of an industry and the development of the mobile marketing industry is literally paralleling the evolution of the internet industry - e.g. w/ domain names, web sites, etc. I've been in that industry for 5 yrs already so I know it well. Anyway, its very exciting and I don't want to get sucked into the inefficiencies of my current company and spend my time runnign around like crazy trying to operate in the chaos.

I just extended my stay in LA to include a part of the convention here that includes the music & entertainment industries - so I might be hobknobbing w/ Aerosmith & Quincy Jones tomorrow. I'm getting pix!

Last nite I sampled a $600 bottle of some of the smoothest tequila I've ever had and then consumed an exceedingly nice sushi dinner. Tonite, probably chicken medallions & mystery veggies at the convention cocktail & dinner hour. (ugh...)

Diet -- not eating much at all but the sitting and eating when I am able is taking its toll. I'm getting squishy :(

But back on it as soon as I get home :)

Now tequila, sushi, and ok well missing gym, BUT it balance out will someday.

Amazingly I have a great sex life but a very weak personal life. Been that way longer than I care to remember. But we won't go there....

Was planning to hit it yesterday when things finally settled down, however my right knee is flaring like a bitch right now, so possibly tonite. But I travel again Tues - Thurs nite so again, Friday is the earliest for anything.....

Did some icing the other nite, the knee hurts less over the last 2 days, but wow, talk about sensitive. Jeez!

Just got to Oklahoma City for an overnite trip to a customer site. Wohoo. I swear there's nothing here. Its flat. So its after 10 pm, I'm w/ 2 Indian guys (from India) who I work with and we go into the only open eatery type place around -- yep - its a sports / pool bar w/ lotsa rednecks and they still allow smoking in the building. We actually asked for & were able to get a bottle of Febreze to help kill that smoke, cheap beer and old sex smell that always seems to permeate everything at those types of bars. OMG.

And me - well shit. This damn cold. I don't actually have a fever or feel "sick", but the scratchy throat I had has moved down into my chest so I have that godawful raspy bronchial cough going. This congestion of course caused one of my ears to plug up on the plane & didn't clear as we landed. I haven't experienced that type of excruciating pain since like 1990 when I flew into Las vegas for New Years with a terrible cold and had my whole head plugged up until several hours after landing and I thought I blew an eardrum trying to clear it. Since I started scuba diving, I'm a master at equalizing the pressure but this just didn't work tonite. Ugh. Slowly clearing out now. I hope this doesn't turn into a full-blown cold, however if it does, then I will be spared going to the company xmas part on Friday, esp since my date blew me off for a football game in Jacksonville.

Anyway ... its almost friday :)

Ahhh yes, went there for a Hoop it Up Tournament back when I played basketball and we were all thinking the SAME thing... I remember driving around for almost an hour looking for some place to eat then we all gave up and went by a convenient store, then back to the hotel lobby :chomp:

But I'll second that... ONE MORE day til Friday!!!
 
I still feel like sheeyit. Goign back to Walgreen's soon to get another flavor of medicine. At least that godawful bronchial raspiness broke up. I still have a plugged ear from the plane landing. owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
 
OMG OMG OMG I went to the gym today!

Yesterday SUCT - I was so messed up on cold medication and I wanted so bad to sleep in - at 11:15 am, my realtor calls to say there's someoen who wants to come thru at 12:30 and oh BTW another person will be there at 11:30. I'm like, ...uh... i'm nekkid right now and in bed & sick & fuzzy in the head. So he apparently managed to hold them off until noon because I did a whirlwind clean the house, shower, get me out of the house by noon & no one caught me in the act.

So I headed over to the tanning booth to sleep off the rest of the cough syrup stuff and then over to the mall for 2 hrs. By the end of it I was exhausted and started to stare cross-eyed from the remnants of the cough medicine.

Wait, it gets better.


So I get to my house, its 3:30, I hang out on EF for a few minutes then change into jammies & fall into bed w/ all my kleenix, my tv remotes, etc. and turn on a video "How to eat fried worms". NOt 10 min into it -- goddammit I hear voices. Sure enough, there's a couple of people out on my back deck. FUCK. More people who didnt' call ahead. So I quick make the bed, throw on some clothes, etc. and run downstairs. Shit. Anyway they continued around the house & seemed to really love it. OF course a damn train went by & they asked how close I was to the tracks - yep you can see them thru the woods from my front window. But they seemed to really like it so I hope something comes of it.

So I went back to bed & enjoyed the rest of my movie, slept alot and prepared to hit Sunday w/ a vengeance. I laid off the cough syrup that makes me all fuzzy and prepared to hit the gym today.

OK so now we're on today. I'm up, showered, house is relatively clean, but I just ate so there's stuff in the kitchen and I have no makeup on yet. Friggen doorbell rings. Yep another unannounced realtor. SO they say they can come back in a few minutes. I say ok, clean the house & head to the gym. 2 hrs later, they never came back. Fukrs.

OK so done whining about realtors....

As I was able to start back in the gym today, I consider this Day 1 of the "new plan" & picking up loggage. Diet is still off because of my late wakeups waiting for the drug haze to clear.

Diet-

Meal 1: 11 am
"protein pancakes" = 1/2 c oatmeal + 1 scoop ON protein mix + 1 splenda + 1 whole egg + 1 egg white

Meal 2: 3 pm
1 turkey patty
1 low carb tortilla (this is called shoveling down something before you pass out...)

Meal 3: 6 pm - last minute invite to some italian place up north - 30 minute roadtrip
- 2 glasses cab
- 2 little bread bunz - no butter or anything
- 3 c salad + vinegar & oil
- 6 oz chicken breast in red wine sauce (wiped off most of it .. to my dinner partners' dismay...)


Training: chest & tris

6 min treadmill warm up - angle 10.5, speed 3.5

incline bench: bar/15 x 2 bar+20/12 bar+40/7 bar+40/5, then got stuck. omg.....
Super:
- HS low press: 35 (each side)/12 x 3
- should ht cable x-overs: 15/12 x 3 --- rotator cuff started flaring here
Super:
- skull crusher: 30/15 40/12 x 2
- ez bar close grip press: 30/15 40/12 x 2
Super:
- rope cable tri pressdown: 55/12 x 3
- push ups on the bench: 4 x 3 -- man did i crap out on these -- o well

And because I was so pumped up from getting to lift again, I spent 10 min in the speed bag room posing :)

Cardio: 20 min + 5 min cool down stepper

Pretty damn amazed I didn't die in the cardio room - the worst was just avoidign hacking because the breathing dried out my throat. Otherwise pretty kick ass.

OMG DAY 2 in the gym.

This congestion sucks moose balls. It is in my chest still (despite my $50 worth of script drugs) and mostly just sounds bad. But it sux. Anyway....


Diet -- eh still a bit whacko but moving in the right direction. I think I'm way low on carbs today (as will be obvious in my meal plans... need to incorporate another carb meal tomorrow & see how I feel)


Meal 1: 8 am
protein pancake things:
- 1/2 c oatmeal
- 1 splenda
- 1 scoop ON protein mix
- 1 whole egg
- 1 egg white

MEal 2: 12:30 -- no appetite this morning but drank crap loads of green tea
Protein mush:
- 1 scoop ON protein mix
- 1 splenda
- 1 tsp ANPB
- 1 tsp flax meal

Meal 3: 3 pm
4 oz turkey patty
2 c broccoli salad
1 tsp sesame vinagrette for flavor

Meal 4: 5:30 pm
Protien mush - repeat meal 2

Meal 5 -- 6 pm
well sorta pre-workout protein cuz I didn't think the protein mush was enough to go to the gym with
4 oz turkey patty

Meal 6 -- tbd -- coughing so much throw down a few throat lozenges & that killed my appetite.



Training: legs
- exploratory as to what I can do w/ my knees
- also I am either in shitball cardiovascular shape, my cold is inhibiting me or somethign is up - I get winded very easily right now. Will see how it goes & if I can condition myself just w/ goign back to the gym, else I'm getting a check up.

6 min treadmill warm up: angle 8 speed 3.5
Super:
- walking lunges: 20 lb/20 steps there / 20 back 20/15 step + back kick 20/15 double lunge
- 45 degree hyperextension: no wt/20 x 3
Super:
- ATF squat: bar/15 x 3 -- here I"m primarily watching my knees to see if they pop or something - all went well and I was winded after each set.
- reverse lunge: 25/10 each side x 3
Leg press:
- wide: 45 x 2/12 x 3 - took these really slow & easy, very deep
- narrow: 45x4/12 x 3 - much stronger - but my left calf has been crampy all day & it started to flare. ALso started to get that cold clammy sweat so --- low blood sugar, time to go home. Obviously low carb & low cals today.
 
I know I probably don't have to say this, but I am going to anyway (the mom in me) LOL. Watch the cardio with the cold, it may be going into your chest, especially if you are already having problems. :heart: :heart: :heart: :worried:

It was actually good yesterday, but this damn congestion keeps movign up & down my throat and it actually was making it hard to breathe today (when the cardio effort increased) so I figured I actually did a lot of aerobic level activity in my workout -- good enough. This week is all exploratory to see what hurts & what doesn't. But the getting winded thing is what concerns me. I'm on day 4 of anti-biotics & hydrocodone cough stuff -- but just pacing myself.

AHHH your already on antibiotics, you!!!! I know I know but take it a wee bit more easy :heart:
 
I know - but shit, I've been taking it easy for 3 weeks. Frankly I think it helps me a lot to just get some activity & sweat. I haven't actually gotten a fever yet in those 3 weeks of coughing either.

well, you have my permission to still do some but still take it easy LOL. I ignored mine and then I was off for 3 weeks cause it moved into my chest. Anymore people come look at your house?

I think someone was here today (didn't leave a biz card...) because my door out to my garage was locked when I came home. I know for a fact my hands were too loaded going out to the car this mornign for me to lock it.

LOL - its not a big deal because its behind the garage door which is all automatic. This end of the community is so quiet, no one would ever bother coming down here and my neighbor is this Hispanic lady who is suspicious of everything so I'm sure if there was anyone there who wasn't supposed to be, she'd be all over it like a cheap suit.

Just buy the damn house already ;)

12/12/06 - Tues

AM: This was so cute -- well since I sold my Precor (dumbass...) I can't do cardio at home anymore. So I decided to pull out these Pilates tapes I have. So since I did legs last nite & haven't done shit in over a month, I started w/ the "Easy Pilates" DVD. So I pull out my little pilates mat this morning & start the dvd. My tubby cat comes & plops down right on top of my right arm & starts purring.

Long story short, he did pilates w/ me this morning. You know like when you have to balance on your tailbone & do the straight leg / straight arm abs thingy, tubbo cat is lying on his back on my stomach doing them w/ me. He loved it. Purred for 20 min. He's not much leaner for the effort tho.

So -- just got home from work, so gonna pass on training tonite. My damn cold - still decongesting & that godawful cough isn't gone yet.

Diet - this was interesting - 2 days straight in the gym, diet generally is very clean but a little short on cals & carbs, but haven't been hungry at all, plus the cold meds, had made it very easy to skip meals.

So today - first day I was damn hungry on cue. Every 2-3 hrs.

Diet:
Meal 1: 8 am

Its still very chaotic but its going well. Haven't had to work goofy overtime or anything. Kinda sucks they are only giving Xmas Day & New Yrs Day for holidays. I'm thinking of sitting on my vacation until the Arnold Classic (1 day) and then maybe a dive trip or something in the spring. Who knows....

How's yours going?

Settling in & getting used to the place then? That's good about the OT thing....

Mine is doing well.....I'm getting used to the place and the busyness goes in spurts - sometimes I have literally NOTHING to do & others I'm very very busy - like this week.....and I only get 10 days vaca. which is NOT enough! LOL

That's all I get for a freekin' director level position. Ugh. I've already worked a full 40 hrs extra in my first month. O well... LUckily they aren't organized enough to really track things but you sort of can't 'plan ahead' to get things done & be 'ahead' when you leave because all hell breaks loose every 48 hrs or so...

I enjoy the challenge of it when I get the time to focus in on real details, but this place shy's away from details. Like no one has the guts to "go there" so they keep things really high-level and fuzzy. Makes it real easy to not commit and be accountable. :rolleyes:

But anyway hopefully we are making progress. I'm still here to add "mobile" to my resume, the position level & salary level and network in this industry. I like that there are lots of people who are very interested in getting to "that good place" but its a lot of work & literally corporate behavior change to get there that can suck the life out of you. For ex -- the Operations guys (mind you this is a hosted - 24/7 - money-critical operation and the ops dept doesn't really even know how to plan and test changes before they make them (and brind down the entire system but not notice that the entire system has been down for 8 hrs...) and troubleshooting is a lost art.... very scary...

Anyway ... if you want a challenge, this is the place. If you want an income (well I want an income anyway), this is a place that will pay you.

This day will most likely suck ass as I didnt' train last nite and Monday's leg day is starting to take its toll on me. Not sure if I can get to the gym tonite either as some work obligations are starting to flare up.

I'm gonna say yes. Its not a long time but if its long enough for the guy's natural test production to shut down, then PCT should follow. I'd say post this to the AAS board or PM Shadow as I'm not an expert but general clomid or HCG is the prescribed post cycle therapy.

Shadow has been great! I just realized we needed to know that^^^ which I forgot to ask him...and I did not want to bother him AGAIN, He's nice enough already! You want to laugh??? Oxandrolone 2.5 mg is sold @ my local wal mart pharmacy...I guess no AAS use in the city...

I know a lot of people who wished they had your Walmart... :)

Women - sides will depend on how they specifically react to it - each person is very different so no guarantees. But becaues you are introducing a significant increase in testosterone (even a small dose is hyuge relative to a women's natural test production) and each person has their own body chemistry. GENERALLY a small dose of ox is not that big a deal for a women virilization-wise. But there are things that you can just expect to happen -

- most commonly can be water retention
- almost guaranteed is an interrupted menstrual cycle - doens't mean its gone or broken (and don't assume that you can now have sex & not get pregnant just because you don't see the bleeding)
- acne
- increase in blood pressure
- increase in cholesterol

The obvious things also are going to be hardness in muscles, some mass increase (you won't get hyuge), some leaning out - but remember ALL Of these are dependent on your diet - you can take ox and not pay attention to your diet and just get "big". So its NOT a diet pill like so many girls seem to think.

PCT - post cycle therapy -- e.g. after the AAS cycle, guys need to reboost their natural testosterone production.
- Women dont' need to do that for the most part - you can just stop the cycle and not do anything special. For women, you can run most low dose cycles for a relatively long time - eg. 16 weeks - whereas guys need to consider how long they can stay shut down and have to plan & schedule their cycles accordingly.

IMO there should ALWAYS be a REASON for getting involved w/ AAS. Don't just pop it or shoot it because someone told you it will make you lean out. As I mentioned above - there are always sides you can expect regardless of the AAS or the dose and it all doesn't matter if your diet & trainng arent' alread spot on.

You won't always be the way you are while you are "on" - that's the point tho - it is a phase just like a bulk or a cut or anything else - it has its place in your process towards whatever goal you have. Its not just for shits & giggles.

I have no competition goals, it is, and always has been an issue with my own acceptance and my want/need to look so good.
As I read in another log, you say "the media has probably caused more deaths & health problems by perpetuating this bullshit than any other entity."

Well that is the case for me. I am grateful I have EF to vent and to learn. Maybe even to accept that there is no perfection.

I guess I'm just saying even w/ the desire to look good, there are costs to getting there, meaning particularly an impact to your menstrual cycle, you may see mood swings, etc. and then knowing the use / limitation of the stuff during / after and settign your expectations according to those realities. If it has a place in your program, then I think that helps a lot in keeping the expectations in context and remove that sense of "magic bullet" about it all.

Anyway --- you know what I mean ;)

I know what you mean ...and menstrual cycle....I had abdominal hysterectomy 8 years ago...

Today very fucked up day at work - very emotionally exhausting so looked forward to training but was actually still emotionally exhausted when I got there. Just a letting-off-steam note today - didn't eat much and was so emotionally exhausted from various goings-on and work that I came home, put on my gym togs, sat and stared at my email (literally stared, didn't read, didn't do anything) for about 20 min, then went upstairs to bed for 2 hrs. So it was a bust as far as training.

Sort of in a little slump w/ my often-recurring theme the last few yrs of not allowing myself to actually get excited about something (e.g. New Years) and then have it fall apart so I expect I may stay home and do not much. .... Kinda sux, shitty attitude, but I seem to keep gettign shot down when even the smallest thing to look forward to starts to look like it would be fun.

On the lighter side, there's a chance I may go to Barcelona in February for an industry trade show. That could be very cool indeed.
 
New Year's eve is one of those night that is always way hyped up...I can't count the number of times I've been out amidst a zillion people not being able to catch a cab and wished I had been smart enough to stay home, curled up in PJs & watching the ball drop on tv. So you really may be better off!!

And I loved my vacation in Barcelona, so that is plenty to look forward to!
 
It has more to do w/ only getting a few chances a year to go hit the parties (esp here) and this is when every other person on the planet gets together w/ the SO or whoever and parties. I frankly thought I wouldn't have been forgotten by a certain someone with regard to this particular event, also considering its been hard enough to get us both available at the same time for more than 1/2 a day. And apparently it didn't turn out like I thought. Just extremely disappointed.

Nothing really to update - drove to 'bama, drove back. Diet is fine, indulged a little w/ fish dip, but for the most part pretty tame. Was looking forward to getting home & hitting the gym this week but it looks to be keeping holiday hours all week -- closes at 7 pm which sucks because I don't get home until after 6 pm. Suck ass. O well.
