Yep, 4 - 6 weeks is nothing if it’s a serious injury. Take that time again and don’t even think about workout sessions until you have come back with the cuff strengthening exercises and stretching for a few weeks with no pain.
Other than that I can’t say much more than Prime Rib did, other than this is the quickest road back into the gym in the long run. Continuing to train legs will help you keep some size, providing you don’t aggravate things by putting the shoulder in a vulnerable position as you might holding the bar for Squats for example.
