My diet was modified about 2 weeks ago to include more carbs, exactly what it entails is below...but first, how bout some results
I'm up 10 pounds (to 180), woohoo! As far as strength increases, hard to tell. I took the week off last week (had been a solid 4 months with no break) and this week decided to give the 5x5 routine a go, so tough to judge strength gains or losses. Here's the new diet:
note: the chicken meals combine for a total off approximately 1.25lbs of chicken breast for the day.
meal 1: 5 eggs, 2 slices toast, orange juice, protein shake
workout
meal 2: 2 bacon, egg, and cheese bagels
meal 3: chicken breast, 1 cup rice, carrots, protein shake
meal 4: 10-15oz sirloin cut steak, half cup rice, potatoes
meal 5: chicken breast, half cup rice, carrots, protein shake
meal 6: doesn't always happen, but if I do, it is usually just some rice, and a few small pieces of chicken
Also, an occassional apple and banana throughout the day.
So there it is, the weight is going up so far, so I'm happy about that. I've considered supplementing some creatine soon as well.
BTW, criticize away if you feel the need
