resistance band training

DOes anyone use resistance bands to supplement weight lifting ? I see you can get some serious resistance from them but how effective are they?

it isn't going to do much for a gym rat. great for old people and those rehabbing injuries though

it was funny i used to go to a chiropractor after leaving the gym. he had me do band work, it was a complete waste of time considering i would hit the gym before going in.

They're good for warm ups but they aren't going to much for someone who is pretty heavily muscled and a regular gym goer.

I would stick with the basics - free weights, cables and machines.

I could see them being an option if you were out of town where there was no gym close by or in the hotel. Besides that, they are not going to be enough to build any significant muscle.
