I think that all people should treated equally in regard to their respective races/religions etc. One should not be discriminated against in say, a job interview, because he is black or he is Jewish. He should be "discriminated," so to speak, in a job interview for being a black or Jewish man who does not have the skills required for the job, doesn't have the experience, etc.
If I have ever or will ever "discriminate," it will be because of what a person does or says, not because of the color of his skin or anything ridiculous like that. You're all human after all.
I DON'T believe that legal means should be used to "protect" minorities that discriminate against non-minorities. "We'll see how you like it now! So, a few decades ago, black folks didn't have the same rights to education or employment as white folks. Now they do. Pardon the bluntness, but why the fuck are they STILL complaining now? Why join Jesse Jackson's (note absence of "Reverend") race army against the evil white folks when the evil white folks have granted you the equality that was deserved from the start anyway?

second--how can anyone blame a storeower for being attentive to a black man. Just by being black, you are 16% more likely to be convicted of a crime. You can give all your "racist" reasons to why this is the case, but stats are stats.

Not sure what you meant about the Jews not learning anything.....I'm not Jewish but many friends are and almost every Jew I know is successful - rarely will you see an uneducated Jew...I never have....additionally Jews atarted just about every major American department store chain, and they invented and dominate the entertainment industry, whether it was Henny Youngman in vaudeville or Steven Spielberg in movies or Sumner Redstone (Viacom - they own CBS MTV Cablevision, Madison Square Garden, a whole lot more...) therea re literally thousands I could go on all day.

MATTthe SKYWALKER, you are so right and if some of my blackbrothers would learn this it would most certainly help them out.People get mad when they see the korean folks come to an area and prosper and why do they prosper? They stick together like glue and save until they have enough money to buy another store and now they have more money coming in and in the end each family has a store and a home so why cannot we all do this? I think instant gratification may be to blame because no matter what race you are isn't getting that computer more important than buying those rims for your car? Invest in your future and you will not go wrong and think about the children who most would want to have a better start in life than they had. just food for thought.

To Mitchellm: You said that Rascism is the notion that one's race is superior to another. That is only one form of rascism - mostly a white power one. The other one is where ppl prefer their race over another because it is what they are used to and can associate more easily with. <---that is the one you are fighting the most here on this board and is unfair to lump with the "white power" type. And because racism can be more than a sense of superiority and because blacks can prefer their race over others makes them candidates for racism too. Be careful that you do not make sweeping statements in your arguments. Mitchellm, you are more than likely to end up to be a victim of the "preferential" type than the "superiority" type.

I grew up in a black neighbor and I saw life at its worst and all the problems where cause by the very people who lived there. a major problem in the black community is themselves. Ryan feels guilty because he came from privledge. We hold whites accountable for their ignorance yet we make excuses for blacks when they behaivor badly. I have experienced this first hand. My brother is a cop in a predominately black area and an overwhelming number of crimes are commited by blacks simply because that who lives there. If you live in a small red neck town, who are you going to look for.
