I was in Circuit City today, with my best friend, who happens to be black. One of the sales guys kept watching my friend, while he wasn't watching me nor any of the other white customers.

So I went up to the salesguy and asked him, "Why the hell do you keep watching my black friend over there? Is it because he's black?" The guy responds, "I don't know what you are talking about." I said, "Why aren't you watching the Country Club bitch over there, for all you know, she could have a couple of CD's in her handbag...." He still denied, denied, denied.....

Blacks live in a world most of us don't have to live in....A World of oppression and racial strife.....

I'm now thinking about changing my choice in law to Civil Rights Law....there's way too much injustice in this IGNORANT world....

I used to work for a chain in retail electronics years ago. It is true they profile customers and watch those that fit that profile. Blacks are profiled as well. I understand your anger, that would piss me off too.

I can't even begin to imagine what it must feel like to walk into a store, any store, and be watched as if you are a criminal because of the color of your skin.

And what's more troublesome is that many whites are scum of the earth, and yet our bad deeds go largely unnoticed.....

We certainly know the police departments use racial profiling.....But how do we solve the problem? Would national legislation be the answer? It seems so, but how do you enforce it in private companies. Companies will deny they use racial profiling, but still maybe national legislation might reduce profiling substantially...

your going to give yourself an ulcer with this race stuff ryan.

I think all of us should be having ulcers over "this race stuff." You haven't lived the hell many blacks have had to live.......

America is still way too passive on issues of race.......Things aren't "O.K." In some ways, race relations are worse than they were back in the 60's. In the 60's blacks at least knew where they stood with people, now much racial bias is masked, covert.
Sometimes the overt is more appealing than the overt...
