Question on Cardio and Fat burning

^^^ depends on what of cardio you are talking about.

you never answered that.

if you go on the elliptical and jerk around for an hour then you can eat anything before and it won't be a big deal cause the elliptical doesn't do shit.

if you are gonna go do interval training on a track where you are sprinting a 1/4 mile then jogging, then sprinting, then jogging. then if you ate peanut butter or anything else for that matter it would end up on the track very quickly.

Nothing serious brother. I'm just planning on jogging my lazy ass to the gym (which is about 1/4 mile away). Once I get to the gym I will do one or two cardio machines for an hour tops. And then job back home.

^^ a light jog to the gym I would eat something light prior. experiment with different things. brown rice and sweet potato are as solid as you can get, or just a handful of cereal. if you are gonna sprint to the gym then you don't want to have anything in your stomach prior, but a light jog you can be flexible.

back in my running days I would have a plate of brown rice and small pieces of sweet potato with lots of water exactly 2 hours before my half marathons or 5K's. and I wouldn't get sick plus I would have enough energy stored where I wouldn't run out of gas. this was when i was running 45 miles per week so I learned exactly how my body reacted to foods.

one time I had a fruit smoothie before a 5K and on mile 2 I stopped and dry heaved, finished the race and drove home.. then went into my backyard and threw the smoothie up. you live and you learn the hard way
