If I want to do cardio first thing in the morning, is it best that I do NOT eat anything? That I just do my my cardio on a empty stomach?
I think at the end of the day the main thing when cutting is that one does some form of cardio during the day , as it further enlarges ones calorie deficit while still allowing optimal nutrition
I do fasted cardio 45 min in the morning , no food for at least 10 hours , it's also slow steady cardio heart rate 120 to 135 bpm
I then follow that up with a whey shake and oats (no fats as far as possible) but I wait 30 to 40 min post cardio to have this meal , this advice I read from Chris aceto ( trained the likes of jay cutler , mike francious etc)

My problem is that I get light headed if I go too hard without something in my stomach. I eat a spoonful of peanut butter before morning cardio. It gives me just enough to get 45 minutes in without making me dizzy or lightheaded and without making me feel too full.

^^^ depends on what of cardio you are talking about.
you never answered that.
if you go on the elliptical and jerk around for an hour then you can eat anything before and it won't be a big deal cause the elliptical doesn't do shit.
if you are gonna go do interval training on a track where you are sprinting a 1/4 mile then jogging, then sprinting, then jogging. then if you ate peanut butter or anything else for that matter it would end up on the track very quickly.
