question about breakfast

peligroso

New member
well Im a busy person I use to go to the gym at 4 pm but now im going at 8am so I don't have much time to do a big breakfast my question is what can I eat in the morning because I wake up at 7 and I got to the gym at 8 ...what can I eat that is fast and that can give me energy for my work out???

If I were you I would just wake up earlier or maybe just start the day with a whey protein shake and a banana. If you feel like you need a good source of Complex Carbs. Oatmeal is a great way too.

there are so many options here...

either wake up earlier,

or just make some egg whites. It takes me 5 minutes to crack 6 eggs, take out the yoke, and cook in a skillet. Try boiling them the night before and then just peel them.

or throw some oatmeal in the microwave, that takes about 2 minutes.

Buy the Tyson lean bacon that you can microwave in 30 seconds...

My fave is a big protein drink, 3-4 packages of strawberry and cream oatmeal, I can make the shake and oatmeal in less thatn 2 minutes and get about 700 cals, 70g's of carbs and 50+ g's of protein.....

Or also can i drink a protein shake and make my own protein bars with peanutt butter coconut almonds and oatmeal to eat before going to the gym ...the problem is that i go to bed at 1 or sometimes at 2 if i wake up earlier im not goiing to sleep enough ...

Probably going to have to have a big meal before bed, don't think oatmeal will be digested and ready for use in an hour. You could make a shake with dextrose and protein and drink some caffeine.

what will you be doing in the gym??? lifting? cardio? both? Are you cutting or bulking?

what you eat depends on what your goal at the gym is...

so you cannot go wrong with some carbs to give you energy for lifting and some protein for muscle protection. Oats and cottage cheese come to mind. You will need to eat at least 1 hour before going to the gym

Here's my breakfast shake...only takes a few minutes.
6 jumbo egg whites
a container of yogurt (fat free, no sugar added)
6 oz. water
1/2 C plain oats (the flavored stuff has added sugars)
1 or 2 scoups of whey powder

And I gotta have my coffee!!!
