Que's Journey begins

Sending you my best wishes!!!!
Thanks Flo! :rose:

It's been very nice having him here. :qt:
So far the schedule is that he'll be heading home sometime Friday so that he can rest up (LOL) before work on Monday. :bawling: if that's the case then tomorrow is our last full day together for awhile.

*M* prefers to drive at night so he left about 9'ish last nite :bawling:

I have Da Punkin  all day today & she's got 2 teeth trying to break through.

Grocery shopping is done & I need to mow the yard this afternoon. Guess it's time to get back to "normal." *sigh*

A piece of heaven IS a piece of heaven! Living with the ilusson to see him again is a plus! Think of all the other plusses of him being away...The best thing is He will be back !!! Smooch!

Yep....back to normal.....sigh. It's not all THAT bad. You still have the little Punkin to keep you company! :)

 Da Punkin has 2 top teeth coming through.........and not the front 2........the ones on either side of the front two teeth. She's gonna look like a vampire till those front ones come in. :lmao:

It took me 3 hours and 4.5 tanks of gas to mow the lawn
It's my own fault cause I didn't mow while *M* was here & that means the grass hadn't been mowed for 2+ weeks because it rained the week before he got here. Next vacation I'll pay someone to mow. ;)

I bought groceries and I'm actually looking forward to getting back to eating my "normal" food. Trying to choose which junk to eat is exhausting! LOL Diet starts back on Monday.

Good morning,
did ya get it all done?

Monday 08/21/06

waking temp: dunno
weight: afraid to look

M1
1/2 c oatmeal w/splenda & pumpkin pie spice
coffee

M2
2 egg whites
1 cherry applesauce cup

M3
7 oz tuna
14.5 oz green beans
12 oz diet coke

M4
6 oz chicken
8 oz sweetpotato
24 oz water

M5
1 egg white
1 cherry applesauce cup
8.25 oz Silk vanilla soy milk (individual serving container)

M6
a bunch of Skippy Natty peanutbutter

I didn't get to eat on time today at job 1 or job 2- - first day working both jobs.
I'll eventually get my schedule tweaked for the days when I work both jobs.
I was starving when I got home and the NPB was "there."

1st day at job 2 was ok. Unloaded pallets for 5 hours, I was a ball of sweat, good workout & an honest day's work. I'm not sore today, just tired. :rainbow:

Sounds like a good workout! Wood, plastic, metal or paper? ;)

Diet looks good :) Positive K+ to you hun. Hard working lady :) I did giggle at you borrowing a hay baler though  :bigkiss:

 you crack me up :FRlol:

All of the above. It's a new store so we had to build the shelves and then stock the entire store for the opening. They built the shelves last week and we started moving stock yesterday. I moved at least 1 skid of everything last night including a skid of air compressors for the automotive department. Heavy lil b*stards.

I didn't mow the week *M* was coming and I didn't mow the week he was here. I really did need a hay baler - - the grass clippings from just the front yard filled 2 trashcans - - even when I mushed it down to get more in it. LOLOL

Today's food started out better but dinner was a bust.....but that's a separate post. ;)

Tuesday 08/22/06

M1
1/2 c oatmeal w/splenda & pumpkin pie spice
sh*tload of coffee

M2
1 cherry applesauce cup

M3
chef salad w/ff dressing
1 pc bread
1 pkt captains wafers(?) they came w/the salad
12 oz diet coke

M4
Steak burrito from TacoHell.

M6
hopefully not much since I went nutso & ate a burrito. Prolly just 1 tbsp NPB.

I didn't get to eat the food I packed today so I had to improvise here and there and up until the burrito I was making pretty good choices.

I need to convince myself to put the junk food down so I can use both hands to climb back on the "this is what your fat *ss should be eating" diet wagon.

I need a nap & I should take one because I work both jobs the rest of the week. *yawn*

Hey C'mon! M did not think you are a fat ass! He loves you! and you should love yourself too! Borrow a cow and you wont have to mow...!!!:rose:

I'm really really tired.......

Wednesday: I ate right except for the nutty bar that kept me from falling asleep while playing pallet jockey tonite......

Status for the last few days:
Food choices - not to bad but could have been better.

Health - sore throat for the last 2 days, prolly strep.

Sleep - slept till noon both Saturday and Sunday, didn't get Da Punkin  cause of my sore throat - I dont' wanna make her sick. I'm hoping that I'll feel better by Tuesday.

Exercise - rode 8.259 miles today, just couldn't push it to 10 miles.

:wavey: Hiya Qtip!! sorry to hear of the sore throat.....feel better soon!

Have the Goat-BQ yet?? :lmao:

Thanks CK & Flor

Tuesday 8/29/06

Throat is still really sore & my fever comes and goes so no Punkin time tonite :bawling:

M1 - oatmeal, coffee, (Glucorell b4)
M2 - 3 squares of watermelon, 8 oz green tea
M3 - 7 oz tuna, 8 oz sweetpotato, ff butter, Diet coke, (Glucorell b4)
M4 - 10 pnut M&M's, water, (Glucorell after the evil kamikaze candies committed suicide and jumped into my mouth.....)
M5 - ???? (dunno, I need to cook for the rest of the week when I get home - I don't work tonite but I don't feel good either.)

**HELP**
I bought some pnut butter crackers for my evening snack at work and I'm gonna try that for a day or two and see if it will help curb the cravings that I have when I get home from work. I'm so hungry when I get home.............. I get 1-15 minute break in the evening and it isn't a lot of time to eat something.

I'm finding it very hard to eat anything that resembles "dinner" before I leave to go to job 2, I just don't have time. I have enough time when I leave work to go home, change clothes, take the dog out and then leave for work. If I eat something it's gonna be while driving to work.

I'm trying to shift my lunch, or daily big meal a little farther to the afternoon so that (hopefully) I'm not as hungry when I leave.

I'm considering tuna muffins but if anyone has suggestions for my evening meal dilema I would appreciate it........

I hope you feel better soon, all I can suggest is a protein bar, premake a pb sandwich, but the tuna muffins sound really good :)

Get well soon! Just getting over it myself, sucks doesn't it.

Make sure you try and get enough rest with all the extra work :worried:

Agree with CKs ideas on food - also thinking of trying Scorp's PB protein balls; oats, protein powder, PB, I'll have to check the recipe.

nope you got that recipe right for protein balls... just include some water which you add in slowly :)

Another idea or two... is get some of those low carb wraps or pita bread and at least you can throw tuna, chicken, turkey or whatever in there as its easy to eat while driving :chomp:

Gah. Strep! I just got over that. Rest up, hun!!

I keep a scoop of protein powder in a bottle and just add water when I'm ready to drink it. You could do that in between jobs. :)

Gimme my brain back. I cooked chicken last night and pulled out the lowcarb tortilla's outta the freezer. (I forgot I had them) Tonites plan was a chicken wrap on the way to work. :lmao:

Thanks Ladies! :rose: :bigkiss:

Wednesday 08/30/06

The meal plan for today is:

M1 - oatmeal, coffee, glucorell
M2 - 2 egg whites, applesauce, .88 oz peanuts, glucorell

M5 - 1 LC tortilla, chicken, water, glucorell
M6 - 1 pkt pb filled crackers (6 to a pkt), water
M7 - 1 tbsp Skippy NPB

I'm trying to get into the habit of switching M3 & M4 so that I have the biggest infusion of food closer to the end of the workday. I work both jobs today so M5 will be on the run and M6 will be on break @ 7:45pm'ish

Exercise:
Freight-loaded pallets + Q-Powered pallet jack = 5 hr sweatfest :garza:

I feel like I've been run over.
I look like I've been run over.
Slow day at job 1, boss told me to go home and get a nap to help shake the ickies. (I'm headed for that nap right now......before job #2)
I know I'll be a pallet jockey tonite so there's no fear of sitting down all nite.......
I really need to mow.

Get well soon Q-Tip ...

As hard as it is, even if you are sick, try not to eat junk b/c you will feel even worse... a few days of refeeds are fine & may help, but don't fall down that road oh "i feel like crap anyway"... I hope that makes sense...Not saying you are doing this, but I speak from experience as well... :rose::heart:

Thanks ladies :rose: :bigkiss:

Well I have the next 2 days off and I hope I can recuperate before Monday. (I have to work at job 2 on Monday)

I don't really want any junk because I've fallen in that trap before. Right now I don't even want to eat decent food so I have to force myself to eat. I packed my lunch today and didn't eat anything except the oatmeal.......just didn't feel like having any food. I'm trying to remember to drink water so I don't dehydrate and so I can flush everything out.....

as far as the grass.............I should mow it twice a week and right now I'm lucky if I get to mow it once a week.

It's 10:38pm and I'm outta meds......great

Slept in. (That felt good)
It's raining. (Can't mow)
Daughter's home for the weekend. (haven't seen her yet as she's at her dads.)
My Head hurts.
I need a nap.

ok, I'm done whinin now.

I'm making my list for Q-mart and is it acceptable to make the protein ball mixture and spread it on the inside of a pita? Sorta like a pseudo PB sammich.
;)

Hi Q!
Hope you're resting!!

I've done laundry, mowed the yard and grocery shopped so right now I'm doing my best to do absolutely as little as possible.

While I was shopping I picked up some pre-cut whole grain pita bread, a zinc supp and an odorless garlic supp. Then I went thru all my supps & got them ready for this week. I haven't been consistent with my supps lately and being sick is evidence of that. :worried:

:wavey: Hi Qtip!! Hope you feel better soon! Know how ya feel on the supps....I keep forgetting mine too!

OK here's what I'm doing at work to simulate a workout:

  • [*]I walk almost the entire nite so I try to "suck in" when I walk. (I'm proud to say I have good posture.)

[*]When I lift - I lift with arms & legs and never my back. I can see a slight difference in my arms already as they seem to appear more toned. (Sassy please forgive me for the use of the "T" word.)

[*]When I use the pallet jack I turn around with my back to the pallet, put my foot on the wheel to steady it, other leg forward and pump the handle to lift the pallet. Sorta like a half lunge bent over row. I try to switch sides to keep things even & I try to use the same number of "pumps" each time.

I'm still learning how to find alternatives, one nite I'm unloading the truck and then I'm playing pallet jockey. I still miss my gym time.

checking in!!

sounds like your on the right track - good for you incorporating a 'workout' into work. and take your suppliments, lady! I do the same thing as far as getting them ready for the entire week. I've had someone at work as me why I take so many pills. Not that it's any of her business, but I NEVER call in sick :P

how about 'defined' ;)

Your ability to find alternatives is awesome. I admire that in you Q. :rose:

Thanks ladies! :rose:

It's been a tough week and I still haven't caught up on sleep or housework. Diet hasn't been worth a crap, haven't had time to fix meals or even eat them. I'm so tired, it's Sunday and I haven't even mowed the yard - - it's just gonna have to wait.

I have Da Punkin today  and she's now fully mobile!
She still wobbles but speed and agility aren't far behind. She has 2 more teeth tryin to come through on the top. The poor dog has no where left to hide.

It's rainin like a cow p'n on a flat rock.

Rained almost all night & s'posed to rain all day.

I'm tired but I don't have to work tonite. Mom nature arrived last nite- b*tch.

Unless it dries up real quick there won't be any lawn mowing this evening. I should just go home and go to bed but the housework won't do itself.

I know! I had not wanted to rent it because I thought it would be crap but was pleasantly surprised.

How are you doing, Q-Tip?

Ok, my diet isn't worth a sh*t atm, I can't shake this headcold, I can't sleep and I'm just freakin worn out.

On top of that I stepped on the scale......not a good idea cause it says I've gained almost 10 lbs in the last month and that includes mother nature's bloat! :bawling: Clothes are a little tighter :worried:

I thought I'd passed the "break in" period for my body to adjust to the new schedule pfffffffftttt!

:finger: I will not go back to wearing fat pants :finger:

I am sorry your going through this, that sucks! Have you gone to the doc about your cold you have had it for awhile. I have also heard that you retain when your sick cause your body needs whatever it can get???

Stay with it, Que......don't give in!

...I guess being vain really helps too.......:D

I hope you feel better Q ... remember, eating as bad as you feel will only make you feel worse. Try to break that pattern & get some healthy meals in. :rose:

Dogs' bathed.
Yards mowed.
Laundrys' mostly done.

I just can't stand the lethargy so I bit the bullet and ordered CB & Sesapure. I haven't taken Sesapure before but I have Glucorell so my supps will be:
CB
Sesapure
Glucorell

Hiya beautiful! :bigkiss: :rose:

I seem to have acquired the lackadaisical attitude from hell.

However, I refuse to wear fat pants again.

Soooooooooo I baked tuna muffins today in hopes that I can get the diet back on track. I put em in baggies so I can just grab-n-go on my way to work instead of not eating or doing a drive thru for fast food.

I ordered the supps and I know that CB will give me some much needed energy and I understand that the Sesa & Glucorell combo will help to shuttle the fat outta my body instead of shuttling it to my stomach, hips & thighs.

CK - did I mention that you're going to be just FAN-TABULOUS in you comp? ;)

Well thank ya! I am with you all the way. I just spent an hour planning my meals just for one day! trying to get the macros right is just crazy, and I am supposed to cook everything for the week for hubby and I tomorrow.

I want to try YES when it comes time to cutting. I really want to get the combo but, alas I can't

Are you going to start logging to see the progress of the supps?
SAY NO TO FAT PANTS!!!!! :)

WTG on baking those tuna muffins....it will become much easier once you start making the effort to prepare and plan beforehand. :rose:
The bacon wallet is crazy!! :spit: Thanks for stoppin by Diva  :rose: :bigkiss:

CK - with or w/o YES you're gonna be fabulous x1000 :rose:

Just trying to get everything squeezed in can be overwhelming, when I'm the only one responsible for the jobs, the house, bills, the yard, grocery shopping, etc etc etc and even though I know that there are countless others going thru the same things right now I still feel very much alone..........I only get to talk to *M* once or twice a week now :bawling:

I hope to be able to log everything because I it helps me to stay pointed in the right direction and it helps me to not give up and say f*ck it. EF is the only place I can vent, and oddly enough a place of refuge.

Have a good one tonight, that in itself should be a good workout! Did you buy some PB?
Yep, it was a fun night. Spent Friday nite going up and down a ladder all night re-aranging storage bins. My butt hurts.

Got more NPB ;)

Got my CB & Sesapure in the mail, I hope it helps.

Kept the punkin overnight last night  and right now she's running around the room yelling & chasing the dog.........it's sooooo freakin cute! ;) :qt: :rose:

The ladder is GOOOD exercise!

mine jumped on me a howled like a wolf today! gotta love them!

Diet - I've been doing better this week, staying within my calorie range & I think I've dropped a pound or two. Have to step on the scale this weekend to see.

Work - job 2 = I've been working the bins so this means up and down the ladder for 5 hours a nite. I've been getting a pretty good workout at work. Sore muscles almost every night - but that's not a complaint.

Home - haven't mowed the grass in 3 weeks.....have to mow this weekend or I'll loose the dog next time he goes out. :worried:

lol!

Poor thing!

Diet - I've been doing better this week, staying within my calorie range & I've dropped 2 lbs per the scale.

Work - job 1 = Currently sucks. Job 2 = I'm pretty much permanantly assigned to "organize the bins" duty. I'm ok with that cuz it means lots of ladder time which in turn means tighter booty! ;)

Home - Mowed & when does this sh*t stop growing? It's freakin October! I Cut-n-covered the roses in preparation for winter. The truck still isn't fixed and the car died today.....not sure if it's the starter or the battery. I have shit for luck. :finger:

LOL I need to mow this weekend - AGAIN!

Diet - been staying within my calorie range of 10x-12x but my carbs have been higher than my protein this week.

Mother nature arrived :finger: .....esplains the cryin :bawling:

Work - job 1 & job 2 = I'm TTTTTIIIIIIRRRRRRREEEEEEEEDDDDDDDD

Home - had the battery for the car tested - dead cells :finger: Bought a new one and I'm going to go put it in right now cuz I gotta go to Q-Mart for the GranPunkins  1st Birthday present!! Birthday is next Friday but the party is tomorrow. :qt:

*M* - I miss him sooooooooooo much! I rarely get to talk to him during the week and I miss our conversations. We have such great conversations, we can talk about anything and everything for hours and the sound of his voice is so very soothing. I wish he was here. :bawling:

New battery & the car still won't even crank.
Looks like the starter might have died.
Great.

I just keep trying to remember these 2 things:
1- There's always someone somewhere worse off than me.
2- How to smile. ;)

Stocked Xmas decorations last nite. :worried:

It's cold and I think it's supposed to snow.

I miss my gym time.

Gran-Punkin turns 1 yr old tomorrow  .

I am so very frustrated.

I’m trying to eat healthy and make sensible choices, I still track everything that goes in my mouth but the lack of a controlled, deliberate exercise regimen clearly shows. I weigh the same but my clothes are tighter and I look “squishy.” The fat isn’t going anywhere and I think I’m loosing muscle instead.

Working 2 jobs doesn’t leave a lot of time for anything but sleeping and playing catch up and I can’t give up any more sleep because I don’t get enough of that now. Getting 6 hrs or less every nite is starting to show.

I’ve even asked a few friends about how I could tweak my routine so that I’m maximizing my time in-between jobs to get normal stuff taken care of (laundry, cleaning, etc.) I’m tweaked out.

You’d think that the constant activity at job 2 would be sufficient to burn the calories that I’m taking in but it isn’t. (I’m still running 10-12x bodyweight for my calorie range & I take Sesapure, CB & Glucorell religiously.) Yes, I’m active the entire time I’m at job 2 and I even try to break a sweat every day that I work but I’m here to tell you that just being “more active” and not working out deliberately and not lifting just isn’t freakin working for me. I wish I knew how to get paid to exercise.

I miss exercising.

I miss muscle soreness.

I miss my quiet time or my “me” time that lifting provided.

I don’t like being squishy.

Obviously this wasn’t the plan I had for myself at age 40. :finger:
