pulled groin and training

I pulled my groin for the 2nd time doing squats in the past year. I wasn’t even doing that heavy of a weight and was doing 225 pounds on a 2nd set of 15, was 6 reps into it and I felt the pain in my groin so I racked the weight and then grabbed it. How can I stop this from continuing to happen going forward? I am warming up plenty doing just the bar so I don’t get why this is happening

I would get it checked out to make sure there isn't something else like a hernia going on. If it is just a pull or small tear, you are likely just not letting it heal all the way. You feel good enough to train but the muscle is not repaired fully so it fails again.
