ok - no gear in me at all- few sup's- MY PROBLEM: after my AM Cardio, which is typical 30 min of HIIT, I am getting sick - throwing up - which is all bile as I am doing my AM cardio on an empty stomach (minus my Cardio Breeze of course). within 5 minutes of getting sick I feel great but am just wondering.......

Is this bad for me? It has happened before - like on leg day doing drop sets on presses - but not that often.

Stats: 5'11", 30yrs, 19%BF, goal is to get to 10% so I can start my bulking cycle.

I can't do am cardio on an empty stomach, I've tried. I have to put just enough of something in my stomach or I'm chucking schrapnel in no time. I've even taken acid reducer tabs before going to bed and that didn't help.

Usually a few drinks of coffee w/fat free creamer & splenda will do the trick for me. Just try a few things and see what works for you.

If you continue to puke bile & acid on a regular basis it can eat away at your throat & the enamel on your teeth.

Yeah, thats bile. What is your heart rate when you are running? Is it too high? Try warming up longer.

Not sure on HR - I'm betting it gets around the 180 bpm - I will try the longer warm-up, thanks.

If your HR gets up too high too fast, like mine does doing squats, you'll puke.

i have suffered with an acidity problem for the last few years especially in the am. a few mths ago, i had a severe asthma attack during which the doc prescribed some meds which eliminated all acidity. after that, i have had slight acidity problems in the mornings but nothing really bad. i don't remember right now what the doc prescribed but when i do i'll let you know. PM me a reminder if you'd like to know. nowadays for am cardio, i never go on an empty stomach, i always have a cup of black tea which some say should make the problem worse, but despite my history i'm ok.

I've found that a small piece of cheese helps my acidity go away. I've found it to be every bit as effective as any OTC antacid I've tried.

what kind of cheese? or is any kind (like cheddar for example) ok?

High
Intensity
Interval
Training

I do 1 minute of sprinting followed by 1 minute of a slow jog and so on fo 30 minutes or so. Yesterday I tried 2 minute sprints w/ 1 minute slow jogs - kicked my ass

Blood sugar crashing out will make you puke too, if the cheese helped then that may be what's going on with you, a protein drink before cardio might help in the same fashion.

Dude it might be the early morning empty stomach thing...

I recall many mornings at 4:00 a.m. at Fort Lost in the Woods with my Sgt. Southard screaming "puke while you run privates," although I was no puker, my body leaned toward the early bowell movement. I have gotten sick to my stomach many times on leg days especially drop sets on the leg press....

This has gotten me several times...especially with the heat (here).

Last week I was doing squats. Finished and puked outide my gym in the bushes.

Went back inside and deadlifted. Finished and puked outside my gym in the bushes.

Went back inside for power cleans. Finished and puked outside in my gym in the bushes.

Then the little old lady next door came walking over, worried, trying to find out what was wrong. She doesn't speak any English and my Greek can be rough at times. Tried to explain to her that I was ok...

If you are training early AM, the meal that you eat before bed the night before becomes very important. So does your post workout meal.
