Protein Per Day

The one gram isn't always fine when cutting for a few reasons. It probably won't make a huge difference, but due to the caloric restriction, you might want a bit of an extra protein "buffer".

Nothing really needs to change for cutting. Keep your macros solid, for example 50/20/30 p/c/f is excellent, and keep this consistently in a caloric deificit. Even isocaloric can work fine.

Find your macro amounts you can live with/function well with, and stay with it. (for instance, many folks do not do well with ketosis....i.e...brain fog, lethargy, etc., so this may not be an option for you).

As you lose fat, your overall calorie needs will naturally decrease, so why not take in the same calorie balance as you did before, just less of them?
