PROTEIN FACTORY BLENDS vs. MRPs

another question:

based on experience what would you say are better - a specific protein factory blend with a separate carbo source - such as oatmeal or dextrose, depending on time of day.. or is it just easier to slug down a commercial MRP (such as Met-RX, EAS, AST, etc...) ???

what are your thoughts/experiences on this...?? I have just been hooked up with protein factory, and to be honest, the blends they offer seem way superior and of higher quality than that offered by MRPs...

Also, if anyone uses Protein Factory products, can you please comment on the actual quality / taste?

thanks,

Commercial MRP's are a rip off. why pay the money when you can order a bunch of better quality protien and just add your own carbs? You can even buy mrp powder at protien factory and its way cheaper. I love penta pro protien. i also have a straight whey blend for after workout. Then i bought maltodextrin (same carbs as in MRP's) for like 2dollars and change per pound. Just mix the protien and malto or oatmeal and there is your mrp. And they taste goood! The protien blend is way better quality too. Or you can just buy the cheap $4 per pound whey from proteinfactory and use it in your mrp mix and it would be the same as the premade ones (not as good of protein) and it would be super cheap.

Personally, I am a fan of the Protein Factory. I have been using them for about 2 years now and have never had a problem. I like the fact you can customize your own formula and fortify it with various supplements. good luck.

I agree 100%! I've been making my own MRPs for three are so years now.

You know what are in it your own MRPs as well as the amount of each nutrient (pro, carb, fat).
