The basic answers are:
1) Get your g/f on the boards so she can do her own research!
2) Use the search button LOTS!
3) Read the sticky note at the top of the board.
There are some basic things to understand about women & their lower body fat -
- you can't "spot reduce" - because of estrogen, women are prone to having more bodyfat (and more fat cells concentrated) around hips, thighs, lower body. A good diet/training/cardio program that is designed to lower bodyfat in general will help reduce this. Note that if she sticks to such a program, it will appear that she is getting leaner on top but not on the bottom. - Its all relative - the bottom is leaning out too, but there's a higher concentration of fat cells there, so its going to take more to get the same leaning -out look as is seen on the upper body where there are smaller concentrations of fat cells.
- supps such as ECA (e.g. Ripped Fuel, Adipokinetix) will provide some help by increasing the thermogenic effect of cardio & training to burn fat. But be careful using this because it can cause headaches, possibly a "buzzed" feeling and if taken too late in the day, make it hard to sleep.
-> there is no magic pill to lose fat fast - it all still comes down to consistent, clean diet, training & cardio!
- other supps you may have heard of such as clenbuteral, T3, DNP, etc are high power stuff - dont' even go near them if you don't understand what they are and dont' already have a good, clean diet w/ training & cardio.
- be patient with your diet / cardio / training efforts. The idea is to establish a lifestyle with these such that your body learns how to run optimally on the food you give it and the way you burn it. Looking for quick fixes may produce immediate weight loss in the form of water weight shedding, but ultimately it will slow down after that. Also to reduce calorie intake too much will only serve to slow down metabolism, as if your body thinks its going into starvation mode and needs to preserve the fat it already has stored.
I may be repeating stuff that is obvious to you, but with not much info, its hard to know where to start.
I would invite your g/f to get on the board, outline her goals, her current stats (weight & bodyfat, height) and current diet & training schedule. Then we can provide some more detail and whatever else you / she need to get good results!
