chazk said:arnold wrote the encyclopedia of bodybuilding,
It's been revised a few times.
I had a early edition but passed it on about 10 years ago to a close friend to give to his son that had just got into bodybuilding
Arnold even said it the book he follwed a strict diet for 9 months while training for the MrO then in his time off he enjoyed regular everyday food just like everyone else.
I rember the ratios of fat were high by todays standards, whole milk, whole eggs, whole creams and so on , I think arnold was not a big advocate of carb cutting and dropping calories to lose fat. His solution if I rember was working out twice as hard
Then 6 weeks out from the show came his double split programs 1 1/2 hours in the morning and 1 1/2 hours working out in the evening with midsection, calves and forarms every day for the 6 weeks up to the contest.
To burn fat and tighten up along with tanning everyday, suana and steamroom to keep his skin tigh clean and flushed out.
But you have to remeber he could do all of that stuff, It was his job from 1971 to 1975 full time bodybuilder
Dude, no offense but Arnold did not write his own stuff. If anything, he may have passed along some info but I seriously doubt it was very exact and taking these diet plans as gospel...well, it's just not reality.
