What are the main factors in preserving muscle during cutting? I know the obvious high protein intake. If i cut my carbs a lot, will that lead to muscle loss?
individual thing...reduce the carbs by 25% for the first week.....if strength stays up for the entire week....drop 10% each week after until strength is down...bump back up
Strength loss would be a sign of muscle loss right? If i keep my rep scheme around 10-12, and i dont lose strength, there is no way i lost muscle right?
You could still lose some muscle if your getting stronger but it would be a neglidgeable ammout. A good rule of thumb is to keep dropping your carbs until you suffer a noticable energy/strength loss.
