I also switch is up between the two... however with the almond butter I am fine with the 2 TBL, and the ANPB now thats a different story lol... more like umm 2 jars
OK, well this is just mind boggeling to me, then, why everyone PREACHES natural?!?!?! You either get the "molds" or the "satruated fat" - weigh the negatives? WTF?
....sorry.....someone just pissed me off (no one from the board).......
Found an article on this mold by Googling it.... The mold is presumed to affect humans due to its affect on lab animals.....
"Aflatoxins are detected occasionally in milk, cheese, corn, peanuts, cottonseed, nuts, almonds, figs, spices, and a variety of other foods and feeds . Milk, eggs, and meat products are sometimes contaminated because of the animal consumption of aflatoxin-contaminated feed . However, the commodities with the highest risk of aflatoxin contamination are corn, peanuts, and cottonseed."
I agree with you, Jen. Either you eat the oil w/the ANPB and MAYBE get a little mold - and some Omega-6. ......or you can walk out the front door and breathe in smog - LOL

TECHNICALLY......TECHNICALLY......showering DAILY can give you cancer, the state you live in can give you cancer.....
The one article said the mold content would depend on when/where the nuts were harvested, how long they sat around, and which state they were even from - all variables that we cannot control in any way.....
I agree - pick the battles......I'm dismissing this one....
"The kind of fat that you need to avoid at all costs is trans fat. Trans fat is an artery-clogging fat formed when vegetable oils are hardened into margarine or shortening. Typical French fries -- one of America's favorite snacks -- have about 40 percent trans fatty acids. Many popular cookies, crackers and doughnuts range from 30 percent to 50 percent trans fatty acids."
From the article:
*Almost all peanuts are contaminated with a carcinogenic mold called aflatoxin
*Peanuts are generally one of the most pesticide-contaminated crops
So which is the greater risk?? Trans fats, pesticides or this mold?
