"The ultimate value of life depends upon awareness, and the power of contemplation rather than upon mere survival."Aristotle

A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between his work and his play; his labor and his leisure; his mind and his body; his education and his recreation. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing, and leaves others to determine whether he is working or playing. To himself, he always appears to be doing both.

"The problem with having sex with a blind person is that they cant see you" - SD

Be miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it's always your choice.
Wayne Dyer

Loving people live in a loving world. Hostile people live in a hostile world. Same world.
Wayne Dyer

If you can't get out of it, get into it.

A mind that is all logic is like a knife that is all blade, it makes the hand bleed that uses it.
Tagore.

The only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilized community, against his will, is to prevent harm to others. His own good, either physical or moral, is not sufficient warrant.

The only freedom which deserves the name is that of pursuing our own good, in our own way, so long as we do not attempt to deprive others of theirs, or impede their efforts to obtain it.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse.

A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

~ John Stuart Mill

"I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse."

"You talkin' to me?"

"Mama always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."

"You've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?"

"Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer."

"I feel the need—the need for speed!"

“Say hello to my little friend”

“This is a real badge, I’m a real cop, and this is a real fucking gun”

“The saddest thing in life is wasted talent”

“Every man dies. Not every man really lives”

“I am the law. Put down your weapons and prepare to be judged”

“There’s only two men I trust. One of ‘em’s me, the other one’s not you”

“At my signal, unleash hell”

“My family knows ever’thing there is to know ’bout the shrimpin’ bidness”

"If you hold other people to the same standards that you hold yourself, you will constantly be disappointed."

-Twoguns

:worried:

It's a shout out 2 Pick3, trex.

Though if you look at the lyrics of karma chameleon, it's surprisingly genius at pointing out how one without any real core/principle/character and is moved by appearance and sensation... well that just leads to disaster.

A workout is 25% perspiration and 75% determination. Stated another way, it is one part physical exertion and three parts self-discipline. Doing it is easy once you get started.

A workout makes you better today than you were yesterday. It strengthens the body, relaxes the mind, and toughens the spirit. When you workout regularly, your problems diminish and your confidence grows.

A workout is a personal triumph over laziness and procrastination. It is a badge of a winner; the mark of an organized, goal oriented person who has taken charge of his or her destiny.

A workout is a wise use of time and an investment in excellence. It is a way of preparing for life's challenges and proving to yourself that you have what it takes to do what is necessary.

A workout is a key that helps unlock the door to opportunity and success. Hidden within each of us is an extraordinary force. Physical and mental fitness are the trigger that can release it.

A workout is a form of rebirth. When you finish a good workout, you don't simply feel better, you feel better about YOURSELF.

By George Allen

A nation that draws too broad a difference between its scholars and its warriors will have its thinking done by cowards, and its fighting done by fools.

Thucydides

Don't Taze me Bro!

The object of war is not to die for your country, but to make the other bastard die for his.

- General George S. Patton

also...

Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity.

Always do more than is required of you.

Success is how high you bounce when you hit the bottom.

I would rather have a good plan today than a perfect plan two weeks from now.

"There is a way to bend time to your will. And when you do, all those cloudy feelings of depression, anxiety and guilt over lost horizons and dropped opportunities will melt away. Stop lollygagging (love this word), seize the day. Do whatever your "it" is now and do it well" ---Albert Einsteins theory

one that came to mind just after reading a recent thread was, "Better to hold your tongue and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."

Hi progesterone quotes:
The best things in life aren't things.

I get no respect, no respect at all. I told my dentist, “Hey Doc, my teeth are going yellow.” He told me to wear a brown necktie.

with you the wicked cannot dwell.

5 The arrogant cannot stand in your presence;
you hate all who do wrong.

All I really need to know I already learned in kindergarden.

  • Share everything.
  • Play fair.
  • Don't hit people.
  • Put things back where you found them.
  • Clean up your own mess.
  • Don't take things that aren't yours.
  • Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody.
  • Wash your hands before you eat.
  • Flush.
  • Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you.
  • Live a balanced life - learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some.
  • Take a nap every afternoon.
  • When you go out in the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands and stick together.
  • Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the Styrofoam cup: the roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that.
  • Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even the little seed in the Styrofoam cup - they all die. So do we.
  • And then remember the Dick-and-Jane books and the first word you learned - the biggest word of all - LOOK.
