Post Workout Insulin

the point of spiking insulin after a workout is to faciliate protein absorption by the muscles. With just a banana, no protein is there to be absorbed. I would maybe take that banana and throw it into a PWO shake wit some protein powder
 
my PWO shake looks like this

2 scoops ON whey + 1/2 cup of oats + 1 banana = about 550 cals ,60g of protien, 50g of carbs

depends on your bodyweight... probably not.

I think your around 190/200 ... Lifterforlife had a nice calculation of sorts...

I think i'd be something like 75-100grams (dextrose and/or malto)

Banana on average size is about 30 grams or so... and bananas have a good amount of fiber that would "slow" it down.

I have GLYCOBARB, its malto, should i just take that instead? thanks, and ps why do u think im 190?
 
Fruits are heavy on fructose and are inefficient at giving a quick insulin spike. Bananas are high in potassium so they will aid in that sense and do eat them when I can.
