post workout and endurance

what is the best drink to take to replenish electrolytes post workout and what is the best drink to take prior to workout for endurance?
 
i have a sodium/potassium bottle, i found it for $5 so i take a couple pills before and post work out.

As far as drink, i take 50g Protein/70dextrose post workout. Before workout i have a small meal 1 hour before lifting.
 
if your diet is in order there is no reason why you should have to specifically replenish electrolytes after working out. regarding a pre workout drink that depends on how much time has elapsed since your last meal, but I find some creatine and 25 grams of whey to be very effective. BCAA's can be metabolized directly by muscles for energy.
 
Believe it or not, Gatorade is a great rehydration drink. They are one of the few companies that have done studies on their products and others (many companies haven't done studies on their own products; Gatorade has). They have been doing research for almost 2 decades, although I'm sure that lately they haven't had too do much. They are just doing tons of marketing. But really, Gatorade is a good drink pre, during, and post exercise if you want something cheap and simple; some of these other drinks and mixes are fine, but sometimes they have too much stuf for your body to effectively absorb and use in such a short amount of time. Combine it with a protein shake post workout to get more protein.
