police academy drug test

am just starting a 10 week omnadren cycle. the police academy begins january and im going to be enrolling. prior to testing to get in they want a drug test from a licensed physician. ive only taken one shot. first, will they check for steroids or just narcotics? secondly, if i were to get the test in the next few days, would anything show up after just one shot?

Over here the only test for rec drugs, i would think it would be the same in the usa

it depends on your state. vermont don't even test for recs

yes-depends on jurisdiction.Most do the standard urine test.Only a few that I've heard that check for steroids

Do you realize how much cardio your going to be doing in the academy? I wouldnt do anymore shots. Wait until your swarn in and then juice

The only ones I know about just do narcotic tests... but I'm not familiar with PA. Steroid tests are just too expensive for the most part.

How are the tests done? Are they done at some chain you would find in a strip mall, or other small hole in the wall clinic?

at a place called medxpress. i dont have health insurance so ill go there. its not somewhere that it HAS to be done, just as long as its a licensed physician.

That's a walk in urgent care place right? If so, I would not worry bout it. Does the department you are going for not pay for the test themselves, or does that fall on every applicant? The reason I'm asking all this is, if your department is floating the bill and will only pay for a small urgent care, then I seriously doubt they will cough up the coin for a steroid test. If they expect the individual applicants to pay for their own tests, then its just not reasonable to ask the applicant to pay up for such an expensive test.

yea, its urgent care. im actually not goin for a dept. but for the training academy. the expense is on me for doctor's visit.

Two of my cousins are cops and they only were tested for rec drugs..

in FL, you'd be fine for the academy. however, some individual agencies DO pay for gear tests. FL is known for having some of the strictest requirements, in this country. if we're fine, you're prolly fine. however, keep in mind, you're about to be surrounded by LEO's. there's a good chance they'll spot your puffy face and call you out on it. as far as actually getting tested, as a routine, i highly doubt it...... we don't :-D

Most law enforcement will do random testing, if you "stick out" physically, they will test you.
