Plantar warts on feet! Any EFFECTIVE remedies?

I had a wart in my finger about 5 years back and also cut it out. I tried that wart paint stuff that burns it off but I agree using this stuff for months is crap and it is a little sore. I just got the razor and dug that fuka out. Hurt and bled like a bitch but it never came back.

Had a vurruca <sp> when I was a kid in the soft part (arch) and could hardly warlk... it was the size of a 20p piece and was sick looking. I had this baby froze out with liquid nitrogen... it hurt like a fucker... at first it was ok then it felt like a red hot poker had be pushed into my foot and up my leg... AGONY. once finished the pain was gone and i felt fine... till i stood up... i collapsed in agony!

I got what I though was anothe one coming about a week later on the other foot... neetless to say the razor came out again and i dig that out... only small so not painfull...

Not sure about the spelling. It's a cancer drug that they inject into warts. I had a friend who had about 50% of the bottom of his foot and area around the toes covered with warts. Unbelievable how quickly it cleared it up.

Dermatologist froze off the one I had, so far so good.
Hurt like a bitch after the freezing.
Sometimes they come back in a few months so I'm following with some
warts no more oil (thujone),
strong smell like cypress or ucallyptus.

Dermatologist also recomended what booger said.

I have heard about this too -- It is a Chemo treatment and apparently it is very effective and not painful. The other treatment option I think you should consider is a pulse diode laser. If warts are on your feet, never have them frozen or cut out -- these new methods are much more effective and much less painful.

if I recall from my bio class correctly - there are different types of warts and if they are indeed plantar warts, then no matter what you do to the wart itself, it will eventually likely come back - it is a virus (as I think someone said above) that attaches on your nervous sytem (I want to say the actual spinal column - gotta look this up...).

interestingly enough, with little kids, you can usually get faith healing on them to work (with warts) - if they have one on their hand - you can do whatever you want, like rub it with a pencil eraser and as long as they belive you know what you are doing, in a day or so it goes away.

If you can find one, go to a chinese medical doctor. There's supposed to be a chinese herb that takes plantar warts off very effectively. Need a scrip from Mr. Chinese doctor, though.
