PL Bench new attempt. Video inside.

HELL YES! there you go man....you are set now. It'll take some time to get used to but will feel more and more natural

You should try setting up by laying on the bench...grabbing the bar, lifting yourself up a bit, squeezing your sholder blades in, set yourself back down tight...and unrack and bench.

Thanks man. :D

Yea, gotta still work on some of the minor stuff. Also, even though my legs were behind my knees, I didn't feel like I was able to use much leg drive? Guess I just gotta work on it.

First let me say that I am not a PL but do have aspirations to try someday. What you are doing i admire. You are on your way at this point. A 180 degree turn from the previous vid.

My advice;

Keep trying bc your efforts will turn into successes if you want them to.

Looks like a close grip bench. Your hand width looked alot better in the other vid. Also, as your flexibility increases, try to get those feet a little flatter and dig them into the floor. The leg drive will most likely come naturally one day.

Someone told me to keep my hands closer? I just went close enough so that my elbows were almost touching my body.

Although, I do my close-grip bench much like this one except the foot placement, so the movement came natural for me except my feet.

I actually put my feet flat on the floor and leg angle greater than 90 degrees and push down leg a leg extension/leg press etc

don't know how much it helps though, since I'm no stronger doing it, but more stable though

Sk*, if you squeeze your traps together, and then lay back on them, you will decrease your ROM greatly.

CCJ, you've seen me bench. Just a natural arch, and a wide stance with my legs way out in front of me. Different strokes for different folks. I also use a combonation of grips in my training, but compete wide.

This bench form is safer for moving maximum weight and recruits more muscles for the job.
