Pizza

I know pizza isn't that good for you, but is there a time and place? for example, if you just lifted intensely and then 3 hours later went swimming in the ocean for 3 hours...Eating maybe 3 regular slices of pizza with veggies/pepperoni/cheese with lots of water could maybe replenish u of the carbs u need? u getting too much fat from the cheese?

I want to cut but i love pizza dammit.

On cutter, fats and carbs are best kept separate. Also, fats should be from better sources on cheese, etc, and carbs from better sources than white flour. No doubt the carcinogenic processed meat isn't too good either

3 regular slices though is about 750 cals, so is OK as a cheat. but I ask the question: who can just eat 3 slices of pizza. That would be torture - I'm not sure if I have ever eaten anything other than 8-12 slices. (Eating pizza is no fun unless you binge it, and with soft drinks to make the greese taste better! That is why I would avoid on cutter even as cheat - except I had 12 slices christmas day)

LOL, yeah Pizza is def a TRIGGER food to binge out. I give myself a pizza after I hit certain personal goals and its a planned cheat with a nice hard workout to follow it lol.

haha, yeah its tough to only eat 3 slices, but thats all i go for these days. get outta the ocean after swimming for 3 hours, go to a local shop and get 3 slices, (not a whole pie) with a lot of veggies on it, and water for the drink..

good point about the fat + carbs combined into one meal though. What you're saying is either have fat + protein or carbs + protein, but not all three on the cut strategy?

If you have the will power for 3 pieces only that's impressively (bizarely, the day after my pizza binge, I smashed my records on dips and bench despite the fat I was cutting)

As for fats & carbs combo, the explanation given is that the insulin shoots up the fat into the fat cells, meaning the fat is less likely to be used for cellular purposes (e.g., restoring skin and stuff like that).

I have always had my doubts about the theory, given that fat takes so much longer to digest than carbs, but I note most of the pros here recommend it (Ingram, Tat) so I try to follow it (except for the occasional pumpkin/PB/non-fat cheese cheat).

yeah, go ahead and dine on that artery clooging goodie.

I'm turning myself into the hospital tommorrow because of this food marvel. enjoy.

*rolls eyes*

I think some people here forget that not EVERYONE is going into competition. If you want to have a cheat meal of pizza I say fine. Just dont binge out and ruin a weeks worth of work. Pizza is nt going to KILL you to eat it once every so often in moderation, just know that it may take a couple days longer to reach your cutting goals.
