Personal shaving

Hey folks... odd question here...

Any of you guys shave down in the pubic area? I have always nair'd my balls, and I recently tried shaving my pubes around the ol' unit... well it turned into a disaster! As the hair began to grow back right at the crease where the equipment meets the torso, it has begun to saw it's way into my skin to the point of bleeding and scaling...

HELP! :worried:

Anyone have a remedy until the hair grows back? It's driving me nuts and it looks like I have some kinda disease... (which I don't, thank god) I am afraid to let anyone see it, let alone do anything with it!!!

Oh man, I did that this summer, and it was bad, but not quite as bad as yours sounds. I just put neosporin, medicated powder, and the softest underwear I could find on. Next time, I just trimmed rather than shaved.

Sounds painful. Try to keep it clean and dry and see if it improves in a few days. Otherwise you should really see the doc so it does not get infected.

Next time you save or wax down there...make sure you exfoliate (use a gentle scrub) so the hair grows in without bumps.

Good luck man.

Look, may be painful, but you need to TWEEZE any and all ingrown hairs cause they can get infected. It's not pretty! Just keep the ingrowns down to a minimal, and put a good lotion on the area, Neosporin is fine like someone said before! It happens, especially the first time you do it!! If you see lil white heads, squeeze em' I know it sounds gross but it will stop any infections!!! Good luck! Oh and let it all grow in for a while before you do ANYTHING else to remove it again cuz!!!!

I use a razor and have for about 10 yrs now with no problems. I don't mess with a razor when it comes to the rest of my body though, I use clippers only!

Just an update... I never got any ingrown hair, just the irritation from the hair growing back in... now I shave below the crease only! Thanks for the tips, the neosporin helped a lot!
And as far as nair is concerned, I have never had a problem with burning the ol' beanbag... just make sure you time it! As soon as the hair begins to fall out when tugged... RINSE!
