Party at My Condo!

Thats what I figured. I liked the idea of an island where there are no cars, etc and people skip from eatery to eatery and all the wimminz are wearing sun dresses and carrying large colorful umbrellas - but I figured I would be disappointed upon arriving.

Looks like back to Lake Geneva it is.

Just booked another trip to Riviera Maya though. Methinks that > Michigan.

Yea man, I love Playa, been there about 5 times. We were supposed to go Easter week but plans fell through. Have you ever been to Cabo?

Nah, we were looking at Cabo but (and I may be wrong) I figured it would be more of a party type atmosphere.

I like the Maya because it's away from the Cancun hotel zone, I sit by the pool and booze all day, I'll be able to do some diving (maybe head to Cozumel for a day), and the wife and I can check out some ruins and shit.

I'll have to do a bit more research on the party atmosphere of cabo before planning a trip there. I would imagine the time of year you go has a lot to do with it too. Playa is 100x better then cancun. I love how the resorts are more spread out and secluded. You don't have those rediculious vendors walking around with the creepy braided mannequin heads and cheap jewelry yelling at you every 10min. Also love how good green is super easy to score if you should be so inclined

Yeah dude - last time we were there I got hit up to buy weed and/or cocaine at least a dozen times.

Were going over the 4th of July holiday, so hopefully our area wont be too packed with tomfoolery. Honestly Playa / Riviera is often the same price or even less expensive than Cabo, so I dont see why I would seriously consider the latter. If it aint broke...

We were looking at the Dominican, but again why bother with 8 hours of flying when it's 3:45 direct flight from Chicago to the Riviera.

agreed. everytime I head to WI, my dad always wants to stop there. Not much to see if you ask me. I love picking up some Smoked Salmon and Beef Jerky on the way there though.
