Overbearing parents have taken the fun out of childhood and turned it into a grind

To many weirdos out there to not be careful. Then again if you alienate them it will impact there social development. Must get them involved in something positive outside of your guidence and introduce them to people from other walks of life. That's the healthy way.

I don't give a shit how others raise their kids. Same way I don't want others to tell me how to raise my future kids (tho the govt sure thinks so).

Don't raise your kids properly? Then I have no problems paying taxes so they can be surrounded by steel bars the rest of their life.

So your saying you don't really care of others do well in life? Selfish.

I coach youth sports and I can tell you that the the kids that are hoovered over are the hardest to deal with. They absolutely have no instincts. I literally have to tell them what to do every phase of the game: (The batter hits the ball, then he runs to 1st base...ect)... and these are 10 and 11 year olds. I always tell them outside of practice to just go outside and find some other kids to play ball with and their parents look at me all weird. They just think sticking them in a batting cage is how you learn.

Why should one care for people that do not care about themselves? Why should I be forced to pay for the mistakes of others, many of whom are reckless and do not give a damn, and never will give a damn?

because not everything is about our pocketbooks.

how are we to know if we live in a decent society?

people think they are so smart and great because they dont care about others. they wear it with pride.

i dont think its so smart or so great.

Care and wanting to control them are too different things. Many middle class losers want to combine the two (usually in the guise of 'this is best for you' or 'it's for the children').

And I'm not my brothers keeper. I got my own life to live. Do you think people in south central are caring about people in vermont today?

I think the idea is that everyone cares for themselves. You worry about you. I'll worry about me.
